you know i was reading this thread and some questions just popped up in to my head!! first of all i gotta tell that i'm looking at the whole thing in a neutral position here and please do not mind my ill-informed political knowledge!!

1. how's SF going to change the system as he promises without the majority of the parliament? If he's to do the things he's promising, its a must to have the majority of the parliament!
2. we'll assume that SF is not corrupted as the other politicians. But when he goes ahead with the general election the parties that will be supporting are UNP and JVP right? i'm guessing that if SF wins the presidential election UNP and JVP will win the general election with a very very small margin. So to get the majority of the parliament they'll be relying on the ministers that will change sides and we all know that those people are the most rotten fruits in the basket. And what guarantee will we have that the that government which will be appointed wont be as corrupted as the one we have now? or even worse?
3. If SF is to cancel the executive powers of the Presidency he wont have any authority over the government right? how will he be delivering us to the promise land if that happens? cause if that is to happen the prime minister will be spearheading the country! So Sf will be nothing more than a sock puppet?

අනෙ මචන් මෝඩ කතා කියන්න එපා බන්...යුද්ධෙ කරන කාලෙදි කොච්චර නම් MR ව මරන්න හැදුවද....ඒ වගෙම තමයි ගොඨාභයවට්යි SF වයි....SF ගෙ තියන කරුමෙට මිනිහව එකට අහු උනා අපි පිලිගන්නව තමත් යුද වීරයෙක් තමයි...හැබැයි එයාට වගෙම තැනක් MR ටත් දෙන්න ඕන...මොකද මෙ හමෝම තමන්ගෙ ජීවිතේ කැප කරල තමයි යුද්ධෙ කරේ...නැතුව SF ට war front එකට ගිහිල්ල තුවල උනේ නෑ නෙ.ඒ වගෙම තමයි ගොඨාභයටත් පිත්තල හන්දියෙදි ගැහුවෙ....වාසනවට බේරුනා..ඉතින් උඹ කියන්නෙ LTTE target එකක් වෙලා හිටියට MRට වැදුනෙ නැති නිසාත්.ගොඨාභයට
වැදිල Mark එකක් හිටපු නැති නිසත් එ දෙන්න යුද්ධෙ කරේ නෑ..වීරය SF විතරක් කියලද?වීරයෙක් වෙන්න Mark තියෙන්නම ඔනද?
