Dilshan Senajith Samarasinghe, was born on the 05th of January 1987. Son of Mr. Ajith Samarasinghe & Mrs.Shamalee Samarasinghe. Yashod Samarasinghe is his only sibling.
Dilshan was a student of Ananda College; His first step was entering the primary band of Ananda College. This is where he learnt to observe the difference between ethnic and ancient music even though he was a kid, Dilshan had amazed listeners during his childhood. He participated in many singing and Instrumental competitions, ended as the winner in most. He also won the All Island “singing and Instrumental” Competition in the year of 2002, which was organized by Mahanama college.
As he grew up he became a member of the Ananda College Music Circle (ACMC). Dilshan was picked as the chief Organizer of (ACMC) in the year of 2005. It was he who organized “Miyasiya 2005” for the 1st time for his school; this event was a great success and encouraged students from his school to join the ACMC. He gave his best to the college music beat band being the pioneer to organize the band fiestas. Moreover Dilshan was also the Head prefect of the Damma School (Sri wajiragna Dhamma School)
He started his professional career by joining the Band “TYRANT”.
Dilshan Samarasinghe plays Bass and he's the second main singer of the band.In 2005 they won the Talent Search best band Category Award, which was Organized By the Interact Club OF Royal College. Adding gloss to their success they participated in TNL Onstage 2006/2007 Seasons, This was the time period Tyrant started winning the hearts of their fans.
His determination to succeed was given a boost by Sankha Ruwanditha, Dilshan joined the Red Studio Productions during 2009. Now Red studio is the official label and production line of Dilshan Samarasinghe. Started with his 1st audio release “Samugaththath” in the year of 2009, Dilshan’s 1st video production was also completed in the same year along with Fine Art’s Creations. This has pampered a different thirst of his fans.
Dilshan is not limited to a one single style in music, He is currently an undergraduate, learning IT at the Australian College of Business and Technology.
Today, Dilshan Samarasinghe has become a stunning performer in the music industry who is tempted to explore new life in music. Music is an Universal language, meantime this talented young Musician trying to across the river of music..
