Message: <blockquote data-quote="Ridila™" data-source="post: 16062777" data-attributes="member: 476443">ICC Media ReleaseAhmed Shehzad has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee after pleading guilty to a Level 2 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during Pakistan’s 113 run victory over Sri Lanka in the third One-Day International (ODI) in Sharjah on Sunday.The opener was found to have breached Article 2.2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between Players in the course of play during an International Match”.The charge had been laid by the on-field umpires Johan Cloete and Shozab Raza, as well as third umpire Richard Illingworth and fourth umpire Ahsan Raza.The incident happened at the end of the 19th over when Ahmed got involved in a debate with Tillakaratne Dilshan, which ended with the former pushing the Sri Lanka opener’s shoulder.Ahmed pleaded guilty to the charge and as such, under the provisions of the Code, the matter was determined by David Boon of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees and so there was no requirement for a full hearing.All Level 2 breaches carry a minimum penalty of a minimum fine of 50 per cent of applicable Match Fee and/or up to two (2) Suspension Points.</blockquote>
