tell me how to use that bottle thing?????

There are some places that brushes cant really reach or take the dirt off, like inside those PCI, Memory slots, Heat Sinks...

Find a thick flexible bottle with a small hole at the end, like a lotion bottle or a shampoo bottle... then aim at the slot and squeeze so the a jet of air will blow out the dirt inside!

(Make sure the bottle is empty first and completely dry, if not you end up filling your slot with lotion! HAHA )

Also for stuff like memory sticks you can use an eraser to clean those contacts!

I've been doing it for many years now, never had a problem...

Ofcourse after I use the eraser I would use the bottle method to just take any left over crumbs on the contacts!

How often do you actually clean your PC?

Normally vacuum cleaners or hair driers are NOT recommended, because they may create static electricity which intern can damage some of the sensitive components. But the risk of this actually happening is low (but why risk it??). Best way is to use a brush and a can of compressed air.

I know a guy who actually washed a motherboard (with water and soap) as an experiment, he still managed to get it working after letting it dry for several days. I’m not lying.. But certainly not the best way to clean a motherboard...

Well, technically all the components of a motherboard are sealed (covered by plastic or some sort of a water resistant insulator) ; therefore even if you wash it, water should not go inside any of the components (ICs, transistors, capacitors etc..) . However the most important thing to remember is that it has to be completely dry before turning on. Because even the slightest amount of moisture can lead to a short circuit. BTW if you use distilled water then the risks are even lower, because distilled water doesn't conduct electricity.

I don’t know how long that board lasted after that, but it did work after washing, that’s all I know. Even though I didn't see it happen, I trust the guy. Its not surprising to hear that he tried something like that (he does this kind of things a lot) and it is not that hard to imagine, as I said before, under the correct circumstances it could work.

I used a sticky ball like thing reasontly found in Unity named cyber clean... its normaly used for cleaning keyboard but i used it for all purpose .... so far so good..... dont know what will happn next o to others....;)
