Ghost Girl of Wem Town Hall

fire_girl_lg.jpg

This photograph of the Ghost Girl was taken as Wem Town Hall burned to the ground in Shropshire, UK in 1995. At the time, nobody saw this girl standing in the doorway of the burning building. Onlookers were stopped by police and firefighters from approaching the burning town hall.

It was only after the fire that the photo was developed and the photographer discovered the ghostly image of the young girl.

Experts analysed both the photo and negative and reported that they had not been altered or faked.

Sceptics say that the image of the girl may just be a convenient trick of the light – with smoke, flame and shadow creating an optical illusion at the moment the photographer took his picture. Do you think that’s possible? The image of the girl’s face on the pictures has never been properly explained. Is this a real ghost caught on film?

But if it’s real, who could the Ghost Girl be?

The town hall burned down once before, a long time ago. It happened in 1677 and history books say that the fire was started accidentally by a 14- year old girl called Jane Churm, when she dropped a candle. Locals maintain that Jane Churm was one of the people who died in that fire back in 1677 and has haunted the town hall ever since. Some think her ghost continues to haunt the building because of her guilt for starting the original fire that killed so many others.

Unexplained Ghost Car Disappears During Police Pursuit

Girl On The Gravestone

This photograph appeared in both the Chicago
Sun-Times and the National Examiner. It was
taken during an investigation in Bachelor's Grove
Cemetery on August 10, 1991 with a group of
GRS members. The picture is an enlarged black
and white infrared shot taken of an area where
many of the group noticed something unusual
with some of the equipment they used. It shows
a young woman sitting on a tombstone with
parts of her lower and upper body being
somewhat semi-transparent. The dress she is
wearing is also out-of-date. It was taken by
member, Jude Huff-Felz.

The Ghost of The Pink
Lady

Famous authors and even a president are among
the guests that have visited the Grove Park Inn in
Asheville, North Carolina. But the most famous
guest is the ghost of a lady dressed in pink, who
unfortunately never checked out.

The unknown woman, or “the pink lady” as she
has affectionately become known as, came to
visit the Inn during the 1920's, and was a guest of
room 545. Dressed in a long, pink, flowing
gown, the woman fell to her death over the stone
wall from the second floor. Though her body
was removed, it seems that her spirit has
lingered behind.

In the years since her death, employees and
guests have reported seeing a pink mist, and
even an apparition of a woman dressed in a pink
gown throughout the lodge. Though it might
seem to some a little unnerving to be sharing a
residence with a ghost, no one has ever reported
any malicious interactions with her.

The pink lady seems especially drawn to children.
In fact, after a family visit to the inn, a doctor
once wrote that his children told him that “they
enjoyed playing with the lady in the pink dress”.
Her pranks are child-like in nature, also; some
guests have reported that their feet have been
tickled at nighttime, the air conditioning has been
turned off and on, as have the lights, and she has
been blamed for doors and windows being
opened.

Though most interactions have been mostly
horseplay, every once in a while the hotel
receives reports of gentle, almost nurturing
encounters with the pink lady. Once she was said
to wrap a guest in a compassionate embrace,
and another guest reported having her hold her
hand when she was scared.

Not every guest who stays in the Grove Park Inn
will happen upon the ghost of the Pink Lady. But
for those who do, the experience will certainly
stay with them throughout their travels.

Owner's Comments: I visited this Ghost house with my friend back in August, no one has lived in the house since 1970 it belongs to a family Business. When we were inside, our heads felt like they could explode, we felt the energy being sucked right out of us. for 3 times we went in but we couldn't stay in longer than 2 or 3 minutes. We felt a lot of negative energy and we heard strange unidentified noises. When we had put the photo's from camera on computer we never say anything on this photo's and believe me we watched them very often to search for something. This Monday all of a sudden we saw the girl, a ghost-cat and a woman with here arms up and smiling (at me!) when we took the photo's in that house we only felt things but could not see them.
