$5k sounds very easy. If I were you, I would just renew it right away for 10 years because I might forget it. Then, put some content (not ads) about the olympics to build up some SEO. Just rehash whatever on wikipedia and add some of your own stuff.

Then, submit to google web master tools, and keep it running with open WHOIS. Wait for 2028, and open it up for sale with an offer like $20K adjusted for inflation.
