Movie Info: Aarakshan (Hindi: आरक्षण, translation: Reservation) is a 2011 Hindi film starring Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Directed by Prakash Jha, the film is a socio-political drama based on the controversial policy of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. Like the majority of Jha's films, it takes on issues about the society and political affairs of India. Most of the shooting took place in Minal Residency, Oriental College, Upper Lake in Bhopal. The film also stars Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpayee and was released on August 12, 2011.

The film stars Shahid Kapoor opposite Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. Produced by Sheetal Vinod Talwar and Sunil Lulla, it is Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut. The film was originally scheduled to release on September 16, 2011, but due to the delay in obtaining the NOC from the IAF, it was pushed back further by a week. The film finally released on September 23, 2011.

Ram Gopal Varma has announced that the film is not a biopic but is inspired by the case.

Not A Love Story has been critisized by some movie critics whereas others have praised it. Veteran director Mahesh Bhatt has praised Ram Gopal Varma for his new experiment.
