Do not say they got only 6 MPs and can not do this (AND they lost faith on majority - cos they cant say like that as they are a political party and if they want to flourish - in political arena-they need to dispel that kind of attitude!). In the past they had even less than this number and they fought well against previous governments in these kind of issues. They are keeping well silent this time & its so obvious. and did you see how much of a strength they put on/being putting on against Avant garde? Their fight against ETCA is not even half of the strength they put on Avant garde. ETCA is an issue of whole SL and its future kids. Where as Avant garde is something happened and was able to rectify it to prevent furhter damage - I am not saying not to fight against avant garde, but just highlighting the severity. And in the case of media almost all the media are keeping mouth tightly shut on any form of activities endangering ETC. Its (media attitude) same for JVP and more for professional against ETCA. Problem is JVP started to voice against (at a very reduced volume) very lately (way later than professional bodies) - so even the minute opportunity available at some medias are not there for them as those spaces are already being given to other people like professional bodies. Can you remember how last time JVP voiced against CEPA? - SL do not need another party like UNP or UPFA(opportunistic)! But sadly I feel like many heads of the JVP heading towards that.
