Wat is the difference between DRR2 Dual Channel and Single Channel Modes.

In my C2D It says Dual Channel mode (Ram is DDR2 2GB*2 Hyper-X Memory)
    and
in my Pentium Dual Core It says Single Channel mode. (Ram is DDR2 2GB*1 Value Memory)

    is there a difference?:baffled:

and how can i make the Pentium Dual core to de dual channel if it is better?

Dual Channel mode is faster than Single Channel mode

but to make it dual channel mode you have to put two of same kind of memory sticks

so you will have to add another 2GB DDR2 RAM or there's no other way!

to work dual channel there should be 2 *identical* memory modules installed in main board.

Even with two 1GB memory modules, one with chips on both side and other with chips on single side will not work. May be 2brands of same capacity memory modules will not work.

That's way I told *identical* memory modules ;)
