Dubai from the Sky: Palm Jumeirah
The Palm Islands of Jumeirah, Jebel Ali and Deira are currently being built on the coast of Dubai by developers Nakheel.
The Palm Jumeirah is the earliest - and smallest - of the three islands.
Residents are due to start moving into their villas on the island before the end of 2006, a year behind schedule.
There will be at least 30 hotels on the island as well as hundreds of villas and apartment buildings.
