Testing tsunami towers
Tsunami pre-warning towers erected in the following districts will be subjected to a testing process as per schedule given below:
On these days, these towers will issue a tsunami warning through an alarm bell and the message will be issued in several languages.. The public are advised not to be perturbed or raise panic over these warning signals or messages on these days, a press release from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Human Rights stated.
