No. Dont take the most quickest literal meaning that you see to it. you'll have to see an example of a calculation to really feel how this jargon might've originated.
You are not answering the question. Are you saying that the author is incorrect in saying that Arc elasticity and mid point elasticity are similar in nature to warrant being combined and stated as one name. Do you have a different article which states that they are different. And what the Wikipedia article says is logical, what you say is not, which makes it that much harder to believe you.
But I will qualify my statement - I have no prior experience on 'arc elasticity' and 'mid-point elasticity'
We are not discussing the reliability of Internet sources. I have given you 4 sources which show that MC can be calculated using differentials. There are obviously very many more. As opposed to you who says that you have never even seen anything like that. If you want to criticise the sources, you should have evidence which states that the differential method is incorrect. That's what makes criticism constructive. What you are doing now is refusing to believe when it is staring at you in the face.
The only defense you have is, it was on the Internet, so we can't believe it.
