Hardware specs: Q6600 (lapped) @ 9x333, Ultra-120 Extreme (lapped), P5B-Del., P182 case w/ 4 fans on low, Corsair 620HX, Ballistix DDR2-800 @ 4-4-4-12 (1:1 Mem:CPU).

Yeah I've observed this before, without AC @ night (say after around 1 a.m onwards) my room temp dropping from 32'C - to roughly 30'C and I have noticed my core temps going from about 1 to 2'C, where as in the afternoon and after 11a.m. my room directly get sunlight and room goes upto 33'C the core temp is 30-31 @ idle!!

    Isn't it 2 high!
    I hv a core 2 Duo!
Hehe....if it doesn't kill it, i guess it is alright :D
A CPU has a nominal lifespan of about 10 years. Maybe higher these days....I don't think it will burn because of those temps :D

    Bump:D
does CPU needs more power at higher ambient temps?:nerd:
or does it underperforms at higher ambient temps(not highest ok)

Oh good. The graph is Y=mX+c type. That means it have a steady incrementing slope.
Well, the important thing is that we are penalized too much for living int SL.

    And it's not a y = x + c :(
