Frm ths year thre is foundation course for stdent who finished O/L at SLIIT.So i thought dat if i suppose 2 continue my career in IT i hav 2 do IT degre aft A/L. A/L means 3yrs.thn it is good 2 do 1yr foundation course & do da degree .

well I cnt say DNT DO AL,
But it's good if u can get a degree at a younger age ;)
Then u can go to industry sooner, and get well experienced...
I knw lot of ppl who finished their degree without doing ALz... so it's up to u...
but also, make sure to get sum professional qualifications... then I dnt see a disadvantage at all.. :)

yes professional qualifications are very important. choose a path u like and do it. IT deg. means whole lot area. but professional means u r professional in that area

I'd like to make a good career suggestion... Electrician! Once qualified in England you can earn upwards from £10 per hour (Rs2200). At the moment i work for an agency that supplies me with short term contracts with earnings upwards of £14.50 (Rs 3,110). The basic qualifications needed are City & Guilds 2360 parts 1 & 2... I was supposed to be teaching the subject in Moratuwa earlier in this year but because of Sanjeewanige pregnancy i was unable. A good all round understanding of Maths & Physics is helpful.
