EK Web Ring

First of this is in the PRO section so please dont rant in here or post silly messages in this thread.

Since its quite obvious that EK has a large patronage, many are trying to promote their own sites here using various methods and ends up getting booed and banned for their troubles.

Why not change the policy for a bit and create a Web Ring ? then if anyone want to advertise their site here, they can join he web ring and be a ring member and advertise their site and in return allow EK to be advertised in their own site.
You know, Live and let live ?

I would appreciate admin's own thoughts on this as well as others.

Thanks for your idea bro but I am planning for a Top List which they can display their banners and they have to link it from their site too. So who send the most traffic will get the top position and we will send traffic to the top list too.

Since your plan is pretty much the same as a web ring (ok it is different but the end result is the same), I guess this discussion is over ?

No bro, in web rings most webmasters cheat. They remove the link backs or put link backs in hidden places etc.. since their is no traffic exchange ratio. All they want is incoming traffic.

But in a top list you try hard to make your site come to the top by sending traffic to the top list. So as you move up you will receive more traffic in exchange.

Since we are the most visited srilankan site on the net, we will mostly loose traffic. But i am not planning to give it away in the easyway.

Ah! I see. Yes, your plan is better then since traffic ratio has to be maintained.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if they end up asking for ratio increasers in the EK help forum!
