Egypt: Muslims attack with acid girl who converted to Christianity -- after fatwas call for spilling of her father's blood
(AINA) -- Dina el-Gowhary, the 15-year-old Egyptian Muslim-born girl who converted to Christianity, was subjected to an acid attack, the latest in a string of failed attempts by Muslim fanatics against her and her father, 57-year-old Peter Athanasius (Maher el-Gowhary), who converted to Christianity 35 years ago. Several Fatwa's [sic] were issued calling for the "spilling of his blood," which makes their lives in constant danger in the face of the reactionaries and advocates for the enforcement of Islamic apostasy laws, which call for the death of a convert.
Dina said that three weeks ago as she ventured out from their hiding place in Alexandria with her father to get some bottled water, her jacket was set on fire due to acid being thrown at her. "My father quickly took my jacket off before the fire reached my arms. Ever since then I am terrorized to go out in the street, with or without my father."

A bigger leader than KP among the 7 LTTE rounded up in Netherlands
(Lanka-e-News 29.April.2010 5.00AM) According to news reaching Lanka e news , among the 7 LTTE members who were arrested in Netherlands , there is an LTTE leader by the name of 'Madiyasan' who is more powerful than Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP who was arrested in Malaysia.
Based on the information provided by the International intelligence service, Madyasan is known by the name of ‘Grandhe’ (boss) . At the time of his arrest he was in possession of a French passport .Switzerland and German passports too were found in the possession of Madhyasan when he was searched.. Within the LTTE , if KP is a Manager , Madhiyasan is accepted as an operations commander, the Int. intelligence service added.
The Nertherlands officials who made the arrest have elicited information from Madhiyasan , that he visits his offices in Netherlands and Switzerland every week.
When Prabhakaran was living , KP was kept away from the international relations of the LTTE . In his place , an individual called Castro under Nediyawan was appointed as another LTTE leader , and the international affairs operations were conducted by him.
The Int. intelligence service is investigating the links between Nediyawan who was in charge of collecting funds from the Tamil Diaspora ,and Madhiyasan. They are also inquiring into whether Nediyawan and Madhiyasan refer to the same person , according to reports reaching Lanka e news.
SL officials announced that Kumaran Pathmanathan was arrested in Malaysia on 05th August . The Tamil media reported that KP was arrested on the information gathered from Perimpanaygam Sivaparan.
After the death of Prabhakaran , KP proclaimed that he was the new leader . But , the Nediyawan’s group rejected KP as the leader.

SLT loss first time in history: Don’t kill SL

How could then the Government be blind on this kind of heavy foolishness at the top of this organization when it has start reporting a loss first time in history under a Foreign CEO after plundering all administrative powers form chairperson with the connivance of the Board Members when the Board composition is GOSL to maxis 5:4.
Greg Young (CEO) is known to be a bad manager, who was kicked off from an Indian Telco, and famous for poor leadership qualities backed-up by wrong judgments and poor decision making. He is highly unpopular inside SLT due to "foolish" management at top. Industry knows him as a “Data Analyzer” and his this approach blocks the progression of SLT.what ever the development proposal put forward by any Chief Officer he start analyzing it with a pessimistic mind dragging for a long period and make it push to the garbage bin as in the way he is been advised by Kapurbandara the maxis representative.
More over it is important to emphasize that 90% of the proposals put ford by the Chief Officers to develop CDMA & Copper pair cable network in North an East under Governments “Uthuru Wasanthaya” Program is suspended leaving opportunity for rest of the operators to spread their wings in N & E making the Market Share for SLT in Landlines null and void. The Directors and a Govt. political big gun are trapped by the maxis representative Kapurubandar which GOSL directors are left with one and only solution to pass a no confidence motion at the director board meeting to remove the CEO without any cost, in the same way Governments been defeated at Parliament.
The employees request, his Excellency the President to pay immediate attention as every second you delay you are killing one of your topmost leading profitable institutes under GOVT control.

A new beginning at the Foreign Ministry?
(Lanka-e-News 26.April.9.45PM) When Ministers and governments are changed, most of the times officials in some departments are changed. If they are not changed, some officers are endeavoring to attract attention of the new minister or get closer to him as much possible showing various types of gimmicks. This phenomenon is common to the Foreign Ministry as well.
Accordingly, moment they come to know that a new minister is appointed; many senior officers were at the door-step of him to wish him as well as to convince their capabilities to the new minister. One particular officer is visiting the minister's house a number of times per day in order to get his consent for every administrative arrangement of the ministry. He seems be reporting to the new minister about all the follies of the former minister.
Irony is that this particular officer who got undue promotion through the former minister through a cabinet paper had been attending every single dirty work of the former minister too. In fact, he has ordered the transport division of the ministry to fill the tanks of 25 vehicles of the former minister after his defeat last Saturday. He even approved payment of hotel bills of the food taken by the former minister a few days after his defeat. We also came to know that the former minister's daughter was provided with special VIP facilities at the airport by the chief of protocol of the ministry last week after his defeat. His other traveling bills have also been paid by the Ministry with the approval of the administration department. Officers of the ministry are of the view that all the recent expenses of the ministry should be thoroughly checked in order to find out details of inappropriate payments made to cover the expenses of former minister recently, after his defeat.
Interestingly, many senior officers are uneasy about the news of possibility of Mr.Sajin Vas Gunawardena being appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. This is because they have ill-treated when they were holding posts at several Missions. Other factor is that Mr.Sajin Vas is a difficult customer, who has a thorough understanding about the affairs at the ministry and true capabilities of these seniors.
