This is Jonathan from Etsy support team and I'm here to help with your concerns about the discontinuation of standalone PayPal and shop closure in Sri Lanka.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience and dedication to your shop. I can see how much effort you've put into building your presence on Etsy, and I truly appreciate your commitment to the platform and community. I understand how disappointing and frustrating this news must be for you. Your shop's consistent traffic generation and the hard work you've invested make this situation particularly challenging. As someone who values the Etsy community, I can imagine how difficult this is for you.
At this time, Etsy is requiring all sellers to use Etsy Payments, and unfortunately, Etsy Payments is not available in Sri Lanka. This means that shops in countries where Etsy Payments is not supported, including Sri Lanka, will not be able to continue operating once standalone PayPal is discontinued. I sincerely wish there were alternative solutions or exceptions we could offer to allow you to keep your shop active. However, there are no exceptions or alternative solutions available to keep your shop open under these circumstances. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, and I'm truly sorry we can't provide a more positive outcome.
