A Simple Way Of Making 3d Text in Photoshop -- Exclusively From ElaKiri.com (made by my self)

1. I would start with a simple New File of 500x200 pixels. I used a Blue to Light Blue Linear Gradient for the background. Then with the help of the Horizontal Type Tool [T] write your text (with this tutorials we will use “NTROX”) which is ur username:P in white color.

After accomplishing all this you will need to raster your image for further work go to Layer > Rasterize > Type to make it.

2. Make your image similar to the picture below. Choose Edit > Transform > Perspective to make it. All this changes will be done in a new layer which you will need to make 2 copies of. The simplest way of copying the layer is to drag it to the ‘Create New Layer’
new_layer.gif
icon with Layers palette. Make the new layers invisible.

3. With this step you will make your text look like the picture below. Use Motion Blur filter (Filter > Blur > Motion Blur) with Angle -20 and Distance 20 pixels.

4. The next filter you’ll need is ‘Find Edges’ (Filter > Stylize > Find Edges). The result of using this filter can be seen on the picture below. To invert the picture and make it look like below press Ctrl+I.

5. Make one the layer with the copies of the text visible again and set opacity for this layer 70%. Press V to switch Move tool. Put the text layer in front of the 3D text. Then make a copy of the text layer (see above how to make it). Set 30% for the opacity of the new layer and put it with the backside of the 3D text. Move the copied layers a bit and set it till you get the 3d Effect. That’s it!

Reflection

Get one of the other copied layers and make it according to the image below.Choose Edit > Transform > Perspective to make it. And reduced the Opacity (to about 30%.)

Ok, here goes my first ever Photoshop tutorial. Im going to show you how to add a little effect to a picture. The result would be the contrast increasing, darker places getting darker and brighter places becoming brighter to give a “popping” effect.
This isn’t an original technique. I learnt it from a tutorial that I read a year or so ago.
However I will add on techniques I have learnt myself to help you use photoshop much faster and efficiently.
Ok ill cut the crap.

This will only take 4 seconds to do after you have tried it out once.

First, open the picture you want to add an effect to, to Photoshop. Then unlock the background layer. If your using photoshop CS3 you can just hold down “ALT” and double click on the background layer. Then duplicate the layer. You can do so by dragging the layer on to the “create new layer” icon at the bottom.

Then select the new layer that you just made (the one on top) and follow the path:

Filter -- Blur -- Gaussian Blur

To add a Gaussian blur to the picture. At this step you will get a window as so:

Adjust the settings in it according to the above screenshot. And hit OK. Later on you can mess around with the setting to add or reduce the effect.

Having the blurred layer selected click on the drop down menu which by default should say “Normal”. Then select “Overlay”.

And that’s it. Your effect has been added:

To:

You can go a bit further by choosing “Darken” instead of “overlay”, to give this:

Just keep messing around to find new stuff through trial and error.

Good Day!
