Did you guys noticed any increase of fps after installing that Crysis patch? (I didnt DLed it yet.)
I can't say I did....but then again, I'm now at the last chapter (again) and it was very painful for the VGA....FPS constantly dropping to 10's... I didn't run a proper benchmark to test it :(

And had a hard time installing the patch...

And to all you guys with ASUS mobos,I see you are all experience pain coz of ASUS tools report the voltage wrong.you have to pencil mod them to fix the vdroop and dont trust the ASUS tools voltage verymuch.Everybody have probs with it AFAIK.

Vdroop is something that is SUPPOSED to be there in Intel CPUs. Asus is not doing anything wrong, and the voltages it shows are CORRECT (I saw this in an Intel document...and I can't remember where) This is not a problem. This is simply complying with standards imposed by Intel.

The problem I'm having is incorrect temperature reporting. Hell...the CPU heatsink is almost as warm as my Samsung drive and I don't think it is hitting over 40C (SMART reports so, and I FEEL so)

    Yeah, the spider scene!

Well, it kept asking for the game DVD when I had already mounted the ISO. I could get it to work. But for that, I had to do a repair on the game (reinstalling is tedious). Then when I applied the patch, it went like a charm. (A lot of people are having a lot of problems like this with this patch!)

:S you had to mount the image to play it?? i dont need to do that ne . I have removed it from the virtual drive.

yeah its with Intel. But I heard more with ASUS.And reporting voltage and temps badly.Wrong.Pencil mods do the work I think.DMM will do the work.ry manually .Its overdoing but as a last year uni student it can be easily done with you.

No no...DVD was required just to install the patch. After that, it was not needed.

The old crack works...but I don't know if it negates the patch's effects.

But...what for? I don't have voltage problems! I only have temp problems...well, it is also psychological....no real harm (so I try to forget it)

BTW, I have reached the absolute maximum overclock with this CPU. The northbridge can't go any further.
