In order to improve drivers for 3- way SLI , NVIDIA decided to transfer the announcement Of geForce 9800 GTX to the beginning of April . Now the GeForce 9800 GTX already figures in many Price- list. In Germany , for example, corresponding EVGA product is proposed for 283 Euro-. Recommended by producer retail price will be from $299-349.

It is completely regular, that NVIDIA partners has already prepared the announcement of this card and wait for official announcement in order to begin sale. Here, for example, the EVGA 9800 GTX.

One problem though :S

256bit * 2200MHz / 8bits per byte = 70.4GBps :S :S :S

How the hell can they claim 128GBps bandwidth?

1 GB=1024 MB and 1 MB=1024 KB and 1KB=1024 bytes
thus, the card has a maximum memory bandwith of 65.65 GB/s! .....Yes they are liars....The 8800GTX had a 384bit 768MB memory.....Why are the 9800GTX specs are lower than the 8800GTX? Maybe it uses the 512memory more efficiently than the 8800GTX...As you can see the SLI capability is pretty good with the 9 series cards.....

I can think of two things:
1. narrower bus significantly cuts costs of manufacturing
2. maybe the calculations we are doing is wrong. i mean, there could be something like channels as in dual channel in PCs. i'm not sure about this though.
