Exports hit recent highest of 1.2 Bn. USD

Sri Lanka’s exports reached 1.2 billion US dollars last month, one of the highest in recent years, says charts.Lk.

This high comes after a continued effort by the government to address the foreign exchange crises.

Total exports have increased by 22 percent so far this year reaching over 10 Bn. USD.

Imports too, have increased in 2021 by 27 pc which has resulted in a widening of the trade deficit by 500 million USD (34 pc) by October.
