These are rather famous photographs......taken by a American photographer during his stay in Afghanistan....

very sad story banz.....if i remember correctly....

this woman's face was deformed in a bomb explosion...the same bomb explosion killed her husband.....a couple of years after taking the photograph the American went back to find her.....and she had disappeared.....some say she had been kidnapped...others said she was an angel etc etc...

they found her dead.....the only way to identify her body was those eyes....
