I don’t know, it’s such a treat to watch him perform though. Sure there are more technically adept musicians and I don’t think you could beat the likes of Yuja or Martha Argerich but even they fail at evoking honest feeling time to time. When it comes to Debussy he outshines a lot of people I think.There’s a nice masterclass on yt where Barenboim counsels Lang Lang who I think was still a student at the time. You could see his enthusiasm and I guess unpolished talent.</blockquote>
