What you said is true. But you know, some people are still loyal to Intel and are buying the D975XBX boards because they at least allow you some degree of overclocking. And IMO, if you buy any motherboard and use the default settings, it will not give any problems.

ASUS for build quality and much needed innovation..
Gigabyte for innovation and ease of use
Intel for sturdiness and reliability..
Abit Fatality series for extreme performance...

INTEL KICKs BUTT

i mean get real guys!!, intel boards even have great video support and AUDIO!!(i played NFS:MW without gettin stuck on my 2.4 B GHz, 256Mb RAM, with 64MB INTEL VIDEO:: the resolution was 640x480,it ran gud in 800x600 too but i got a random pause on it)

It's not the motherboard that provide the integrated video capability. It's the chipset. Intel chipsets are awesome; there's no doubt about it - even better than nVidia's imo. nVidia chipsets suck in a lot of power.

Just their (Intel's) motherboards are not attractive except the flagship model.

Have you seen the BIOS setup of an Intel mobo? That's pathetic imo, compared to AMI or Award BIOS Setup programs.
