J A P A N
THE 'OMAR ABDULLA,' SHOW...

'It's never about the money, it's about the smile you leave behind to your consumers...'

Episode SIXTY FIVE (65)-SEASON NINE

Filmed-April 1st 2012

Duration: 45 Minutes

Omar Abdulla: Welcome to The 'Omar Abdulla,' SHOW filmed by Footprints Filmworks...Today we are located in the country's Capital city Tokyo and will be speaking to residents of the general community about Japan, the history of JAPAN, the lifestyles of everyday JAPANESE and what can tourists 'look-forward,' to in JAPAN...The 'Omar Abdulla,' SHOW is watched by over 2.5 billion people locally and internationally in countries-South Africa, Sweden, Brazil, Bermuda, Canada, Cameroon, Morocco and over 100 other countries and 500 000 international communities...This show has become 'the-most-talked,' about show on the planet because we speak to the man in the street about life, we speak to celebrities about the papparazzi, we speak to professionals and we speak to students and teachers... If you v i e w i n g this broadcast through www.footprintsfilmworks.com it would be wise to 'spice up,' your experience with us by listening to a n y of the 20 million soundtracks at the top of the page...Personally, my favourite soundtracks include Justin Bieber's 'BABY,' Priyanka Chopra's 'DESIGIRL,' Michael Jackson's 'You are not alone,' and 'DANCE with my father,' by Luther Vandross...Today, as this is our f i r s t episode in Japan and my first visit to J A P A N we are going to get to know more about this South Asian Country...In studio today we have State Governor Mr. Kazuko Hataro and community leader Mr. Yoko Lee...Let's get to it...Briefly describe the everyday life of JAPANESE living in J A P A N...

Kazuko Hataro: Personally, I love Indian music too, as we receive hundreds of thousands of imported soundtracks from INDIA...I enjoy watching Shar Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta and Omar Abdulla as the 'Media Monster,' of the communities...To be frank with you the average JAPANESE earns about 80 000 YEN or $10 000 dollars...The average JAPANESE has about three to four jobs to sustain his family...The typical JAPANESE personality and this goes even for a Governor like me-who rises at 5:am and works the DEPARTMENT of PUBLIC WORKS from 6:am-1:pm...I then have a lunch break and am employed as an Administrator for a local Tokyo insurance company...I work at this insurance company from 2:pm-6:pm until I enjoy a quick supper with my mates and later lecture to university students at The University of Tokyo from 7:pm-10:pm...It's hard and smart work but it brings the b r e a d home...When I arrive home, my four children are normally f a s t asleep and give them a 'goodnight,' kiss and this happens Sunday to Sunday...It's not about how sharp or how smart you are in JAPAN it's about the physical effort that you put into your work...JAPAN is the size of Gauteng in South Africa, yet we have over 30 million people who work in sectors of finance, banking, production, manufacturing, teaching, leadership and over 800 other sectors that make JAPAN and the leading producer of electronics, appliances, lounge suites and other imitation productions...As compared to other countries we are the biggest producer per capita-more than double that of the UNITED STATES proving that LAZY American's has caused the recent recession that they going through...I was watching a story on CNBC that said that people had more money ten years ago than today, a factor that American's think that it's sharpness and shrewdness that bring the bread home-infact it's the opposite...It's time spent away from your family that really brings the bread home...To be a father in JAPAN is the toughest job in the world, and you my friend Omar, talk of having eight kids-I wish you all the luck...

Yoko Lee: Excuse my friend Kazuko, because he has a certain vendetta against The United States because of the Hiroshima Bombings in 1941...My father was born in 1941 as well, and we were brought up in a two bedroom apartment with eight children...We would literally sleep on top of each other and grew up as a close knit unit with my mother...My father never really became a billionaire because he sweated for his kids and put his kids first before his own d r e a m s...As Kazuko says, it's un-heard off or a JAPANESE to have one job because that would not even cover the basic lease of a small house...The way JAPAN has weaned itself out of the horrid World War past is by re-building itself like a new-born baby would crawl...As compared to other countries we are often plauged by world plauges, earthquakes, thunder-storms and tornado's that has set us back 500 years...We have over 3000 companies in Japan that have jointly became the driving force of the economy...Small businesses often merge with bigger companies to become one colonized business which is then listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange which enjoys a cashflow of about two trillion yen per day...Japanese are the most aggressive investors in the world according to world rankings because we are one of the biggest exporters of the b r a n d s that we create...Our Yen must remain weak for us to receive more dollars from the countries that buy from us...In todays times, the yen is 80:1 to the dollar-five years ago is was 180:1 to the dollar-so we are loosing...The Japanese government normally intervenes in the forex market at early hours in the morning to earn a better yen for the products we produce...For every yen that we loose against the dollar our economy looses three times that amount on produce...

Omar Abdulla: Back in a moment...

Omar Abdulla: Welcome back to The 'Omar Abdulla,' SHOW filmed by Footprints Filmworks...Japan has an awesome flavor because the people are so friendly as compared to my trip of London where you would be lucky to see one person smiling on the tube to work...Today, we are running another competition through this Footprints Filmworks series...This time it's from Nikon...The question states who is the Managing Director of Nikon Japan...The first five people to e-mail me on [email protected] will win the l a t e s t Nikon camera...Moving on, I received an e-mail from Joshua Smith from Florida in The United States who says that he is planning to visit JAPAN later in the year-what are some of the dishes that JAPAN has to offer...

Yoko Lee: You are not a Muslim-like Omar, who can only eat at Kentuck Fried Chicken and Mcdonalds although there are alot of divine cuisine's on offer...We serve the s a m e brands of food in The United States-although Japanese tradition is fried turkey with rice, dried rabbit or smoked whale...We serve bacon, ham and other products as well as we have many American's who tour Japan for their import and export businesses...

Omar Abdulla: We received a l a s t e-mail from Mohammed Ansari from New Delhi in India who says that he is planning a trip of Japan for business in coming months, and asks the panel what products does JAPAN offer India that will sell well of his 322 stores in India-exporting the product from Japan...??

Kazuko Hataro: There are millions of lines that you can export to India Mohammed, and it depends what type of products you have for sale in your stores...We have matches that would cost you about one yen per box, we have coconut drinks that will cost you about five yen, we have a dozen of white candles for eight yen-which is about 1/4 the price you would buy at a major wholesaler in Japan...If you choose to experiement with other lines for your stores we have computers that sell for about 3000 yen, camera's for about 200 yen, washing baskets for 100 yen and thousands of other grocery lines...We are truly the cheapest manufacturer in the world...If you want to sell cellphones in your store we have blackberries for about 2000 yen, and thousands of other cellphone devices that you can easily double product purchase...

Omar Abdulla: That's all we have time for today from The 'Omar Abdulla,' SHOW produced by Footprints Filmworks on this April Fool's day here in Japan...Tomorrow, we will be back again talking about architecture of ones home as Japanese are some of the finest constructers of homes...Ardious....!
