ELLA රක්ෂිතයේ ගින්නක් (2019)
COLOMBO (News 1st) – A fire erupted at a reserve in the Ella rock region in Badulla today (August 22). Eyewitnesses said that the blaze has not yet been doused.
We inquired on the matter from the Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre of the Badulla District E.M.L. Udaya Kumara. He said that wildlife officers are in charge of this region. He added that the fire erupted this morning and since the blaze erupted in a precipice dousing the fire is quite difficult. The assistant director further said that the army is also assisting the wildlife officers in the region.
අද (අගෝස්තු 22) බදුල්ල පාෂාණ කලාපයේ රක්ෂිතයක ගින්නක් හටගෙන තිබේ. ඇසින් දුටු සාක්ෂිකරුවෝ කියා සිටියේ ගින්න තවමත් තුරන් වී නොමැති බවයි.
බදුල්ල දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ආපදා කළමනාකරණ මධ්යස්ථානයේ සහකාර අධ්යක්ෂ ඊ.එම්.එල්. උදය කුමාර. වනජීවී නිලධාරීන් මෙම කලාපය භාරව සිටින බව ඔහු පැවසීය. අද උදෑසන ගින්න හටගෙන ඇති බවත්, ප්රපාතය තුළ ගින්න හටගෙන ඇති බැවින් ගින්න තරමක් අපහසු බවත් ඔහු පැවසීය. සහකාර අධ්යක්ෂවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේ කලාපයේ වනජීවී නිලධාරීන්ට හමුදාව ද සහාය වන බවයි.
