මට Sophos-XG Firewall එක Setup කරන්න උදව්වක් ඕන මම ISPලා දෙන්නෙක් Add කරලා තියෙනවා. ISP2 තමයි Primary. (ISP2 fail වුනොත් ISP1 ගෙන් Internet access වෙන විදිහට setup කරලා තියෙන්නේ)

මම Layer 3 Switch දෙකක් දාලා තියෙනවා network එකේ availability එක තියාගන්න ඕන නිසා
ඒක නිසා මම ඒ Layer 3 Switch දෙක වෙන වෙනම Port දෙකකින් Firewall එකට Connect කරලා තියෙනවා. පහලම තියෙන්නෙ Layer 2 Switch එකක්. ඒකේ VLAN 10 එක තියෙනවා. VLAN 10 එකේ Default gateway එක LAYER3-2 Switch එක විදිහට HSRP වලින් configure කරලා තියෙනවා. PC1 එකේ ඉදලා LAYER3-2 Switch එකට ping වෙනවා.

මුලු Network එකම දුවන්නේ OSPF වලින්

මට ඕන මේ PC1 එකට Internet යන විදිහට Setup කරන්න. මගේ Topology එකේ වැරැද්දක් තියෙනවා නම් කියන්න. උදව්වක් දෙන්න

Sophos policies mukuth thama setup kale ne mama.

VLAN10 එක Switch හැම එකකම තියෙනවා. VLAN 10 එකට port assign කරලා තියෙන්නේ පහලම L2 Switch එකේ. PC1 එක තියෙන්නේ VLAN 10 එකේ.

LAYER3-1 & LAYER3-2 Switch වල HSRP වලින් VLAN10 එකේ Interface එකට 192.168.1.1 කියන Virtual Gateway එක setup කරලා තියෙනවා. PC1 එකේ Gateway එක වෙන්නෙත් ඒක HSRP Priority එක 150ක් දීලා LAYER3-2 Switch එක Active mode එකේ තියෙන්න හදලා තියෙන්නේ

මට ඕන PC1 එකට net යන්න පුලුවන් විදිහට configure කරගන්න.

Can you ping the firewall? Assume you have properly enabled IP routing on the Layer 3 switches.

Practically we dont use two subnets beteeen the firewall and core switch clusters. It is not a must but as a practice to avoid asymetric routing and complexcity.

Configure FHRRP (HSRP, VRRP or GLBP) on uplinks towards the firewall and then allocate two downlinks ports of the Firewall to a VLAN.

Do a traceroute and check the point where packets drop
