Salvio all but confirms Gaitan will join Atletico Madrid

    nicolas-gaitan-cropped_15upy9435ni7h1fg4py37a23nq.jpg

Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio has all but confirmed that Nicolas Gaitan will join Atletico Madrid.

Reports in Spain and Portugal claim Atletico have agreed a fee in the region of €25million for the Argentina international, who admitted he had played his last game for Benfica after the Taca da Liga final.

It is also understood in Italy that Gaitan's move will officially go through after Saturday's Champions League final between Atletico and Real Madrid.

Salvio fully expects Gaitan to seal a move to the Vicente Calderon and concedes it is a blow for his side to lose one of their top players."I know there's a big possibility for Nico to go to Atletico Madrid," he told ESPN."I'm very happy for him, because we've spent a lot of time together.

"Benfica is losing one of its stars. He's been important in all the years I've been here. He's going to a great club and I wish him all the best."Gaitan made 37 appearances this season as Benfica claimed the Primeira Liga and Taca de Portugal double.

Sanches & Hummels deals will not stop Bayern spending - Rummenigge

    mats-hummels-cropped_1ph9c0tp4tf4w17trz9ostzsqn.jpg

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned that the Bundesliga champions are prepared to continue spending despite the signings of Renato Sanches and Mats Hummels.

Hummels signed a five-year contract with Bayern on Monday after completing a medical, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly set to receive a transfer fee €38million.

The deal for the Germany international was announced on the same day as an agreement was reached with Benfica to sign rising midfield star Sanches, who cost Bayern €35m which could eventually rise to €80m through add-ons.

But despite their significant outlay on both players, Rummenigge says they will not be discouraged from spending heavily again should the right target become available.

"We'll put our squad plans together and see," he told Sport Bild. "We signed two good players in Hummels and Sanches, now we have to look at what we will do from here."What we do always depends on what our intentions for the future are, too."

The future of Bayern forward Mario Gotze had been the subject of speculation, with the Germany international having featured sparingly under Pep Guardiola since recovering from injury in the second half of the campaign.A move to Liverpool to reunite with former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp had been touted, but Gotze stated on Monday that he intends to stay for next season.

Some reports had claimed that Carlo Ancelotti, who will take charge over from Guardiola in July, had informed Gotze that he was free to look for a new club, but the 23-year-old says it was his discussion with the Italian that helped convince him to stay.

"Contrary to recent reports, I had a very good phone call with Ancelotti," he told Bild. "And I am looking forward to working together with him."

Manchester United and Mourinho set to offer £34m deal to Ibrahimovic

    3212842_heroa.jpg

Manchester United are ready to make Zlatan Ibrahimovic a massive offer to become one of Jose Mourinho's key signings this summer, Goal has learned.

The Swedish striker is looking for a new club after calling time on his four-year spell with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

And while he could yet decide to move to MLS for a huge payday, United are set to present him with a deal which would allow them to blow any American deal out of the water.

Ibrahimovic is said to be looking for a contract which would see him earn a similar net salary to his €350,000 weekly wage at PSG, and advisors working on United's behalf are putting together a package which could persuade the 34-year-old to move to Manchester.

As part of the deal, Ibrahimovic would receive an £8 million tax-free signing-on bonus, with a £250,000 weekly salary to come over the course of his 12-month contract. He would also be offered an option to sign for a second year as part of the initial agreement, taking his potential total earnings over two years to £34m.

The front man, Sweden's record goalscorer in international football, may yet decide to choose MLS over the Premier League, with his wife Helena Seger having a sportswear business which would benefit massively from a move to the United States rather than Manchester.

However, United are hoping that the lure of a massive contract and a continued career in European football will be enough to secure a deal to bring one of the world's most recognisable football faces to Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic has won 12 league titles in his last 13 years, including four successive Ligue 1 crowns with PSG. He previously won one of his three Serie A titles with Inter under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who is due to be announced as United's new manager imminently.

Ancelotti: Milan won in 1990 only because of tactics

AC Milan's back-to-back victories in the European Cup in 1989 and 1990 rank among the game's greatest achievements, but the Rossoneri were not at the peak of their powers when they retained the trophy by beating Benfica.

Milan closed their Serie A campaign by winning only three of their last seven matches, allowing Diego Maradona and Napoli to blow past them to the Scudetto with five consecutive wins.

Carlo Ancelotti told Goal about the fragile state of Arrigo Sacchi's team in Vienna and how they relied on their tactical prowess to put themselves in the history books...

Depay rules out Manchester United exit following Van Gaal departure

    depay-van-gaal-cropped_1pwqk5ojp75zf14zkhtybn1xo4.jpg

Memphis Depay has ruled out leaving Manchester United in the wake of Louis van Gaal's sacking on Monday.Van Gaal was dismissed just two days after guiding the Red Devils to FA Cup glory, with Jose Mourinho in line to replace him at Old Trafford.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager lured Depay to United ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, having previously worked with the winger as Netherlands boss.

However, the former PSV man, who was left out of United's FA Cup final squad by Van Gaal, is adamant his compatriot's departure does not have any influence on his future at the club.

"Van Gaal's departure does not have consequences for me. I am happy at Manchester United and the board are happy with me. I don't see why Van Gaal's exit would change anything for me," Depay told De Telegraaf."I would have made it to United without Van Gaal as well. I say that because I believe in myself and I work hard.

"I don't know whether I had a love-hate relationship with Van Gaal. His exit is just how things go in football and in life. You can only learn from it and become stronger."

United are expected to appoint Mourinho this week and Depay says he is excited by the prospect of working with the former Chelsea boss."I will ask [former Inter star] Wesley Sneijder about Mourinho if he becomes the new manager," he added.

"That sounds very interesting. Sneijder has previously called him the best coach in the world and that is a nice prospect."

Van Gaal treated unfairly during Manchester United spell - Blind

    daley-blind-van-gaal-cropped_157ci1a69us4x1upi70l90xmnx.jpg

Manchester United defender Daley Blind feels Louis van Gaal was treated unfairly during his time at Old Trafford and insists he would have liked him to remain in charge.Van Gaal was sacked on Monday after two underwhelming seasons in charge, despite guiding the Red Devils to FA Cup glory just two days earlier.

The Dutchman received his fair share of criticism to with United's style of play under his stewardship but Blind believes his compatriot deserved more respect.
"I have always worked with him quite well and would have loved to continue doing so," Blind told De Telegraaf.

"You are always under a lot of pressure when you are in charge of a big club in England, but Van Gaal has not been treated fairly over the past six months. I think Van Gaal has achieved so much that he deserves more respect."But despite all the criticism, he always protected the players. I think the team has always been very grateful for that.

"It's not easy for a manager when you have already been sacked 82 times according to the papers. But we always kept believing in each other and in the manager, with the FA Cup as a beautiful reward. "We did it all together for the fans, the manager and the players themselves. All in all, it was a good end to the season."

Jose Mourinho is expected to succeed Van Gaal as United manager, with reports suggesting his appointment will be confirmed this week.

Ben Arfa wants Lyon return - Aulas

    hatem-ben-arfa-nice-v-reims-ligue-1-22042016_rdq7x424vgbk1v051pqwpng87.jpg

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes Nice star Hatem Ben Arfa has set his sights on a return to the club, but has acknowledged they could miss out on the 29-year-old as they cannot match the wages on offer at other interested parties.

Ben Arfa is available on a free transfer come July and recently revealed that 18 clubs have shown an interest in signing him following his stellar 2015-16 campaign with Nice, including La Liga champions Barcelona.

Aulas claims Ben Arfa personally prefers a return to his boyhood club, but hints his representatives are pushing for a move elsewhere."We have to take the economic situation into consideration," Aulas told the official Lyon website.

"Europe's biggest clubs are after Hatem's signature."But I would love it if he returned to Lyon. He would fit into our formation, but he is also in Lyon's heart."I know that he loves Lyon and wants to return here, but he will have to convince his agents."

Ben Arfa, who scored an impressive 17 goals for Nice this term, emerged through Lyon's youth ranks and went on to help them win four Ligue 1 titles between 2004 and 2008.

Cantona: I love Mourinho, but he is not Manchester United

    josemourinho-cropped_cbtrl1ri2iiv17bjgz4hj9kzb.jpg

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has expressed his doubts that Jose Mourinho is the right man to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

After widespread speculation, Van Gaal's sacking was confirmed on Monday, just two days after he led the club to FA Cup success by defeating Crystal Palace at Wembley.

Mourinho, a three-time Premier League winner with Chelsea, is expected to be announced as Van Gaal's successor this week, as United look to regain the glory years of the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Van Gaal's style of play drew criticism from large numbers of United fans but Cantona, who helped the club to four league crowns in the mid-1990s, believes Mourinho's philosophy may not endear him to the Old Trafford faithful either."I love Jose Mourinho, but in terms of the type of football he plays I don't think he is Manchester United," Cantona told The Guardian.

"I love his personality, I love the passion he has for the game, his humour. He is very intelligent, he demands 100 per cent of his players. And of course he wins things."But I don't think it's the type of football that the fans of Manchester United will love, even if they win.

"He can win with Manchester United. But do they expect that type of football, even if they win? I don't think so."Asked what he thought had gone wrong at United over the past three years, Cantona replied: "They miss me.

"I think they have lost something. You can feel it. But it's difficult to come after someone who has been at the club 25 years."Even if you are a great manager, the fans still feel the philosophy of Ferguson."

Manchester United and Liverpool hit with €40,000 fines by UEFA

    liverpool-fans-cropped_1uksbbyvhmvhv1f39kehebsrze.jpg

Manchester United and Liverpool have each been fined €40,000 by UEFA for illicit chanting by supporters during their Europa League last-16 tie.

UEFA charged both clubs in March over disturbances among fans, which also included objects being thrown and fireworks being set off, in the matches at Anfield and Old Trafford.

Liverpool and United must pay a fine of €20,000 as a result of the chants, with a further €20,000 suspended for two years, while they have been hit with €17,000 and €18,000 fines respectively for "all other incidents".

Liverpool have also been ordered to contact United within 30 days for the settlement of damage caused by supporters, UEFA confirmed in a statement.Jurgen Klopp's side won 2-0 at Anfield before a 1-1 draw in the second leg sent them through to the quarter-finals with a 3-1 aggregate win.

OFFICIAL: Liverpool complete £4.7m Karius capture

Liverpool have confirmed the £4.7 million signing of esteemed young German goalkeeper Loris Karius on a five-year deal from Mainz.

The 22-year-old, who has amassed 91 Bundesliga appearances, is the third new acquisition ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge at Anfield following moves for Cameroon international Joel Matip and Serbian starlet Marko Grujic.

As reported by Goal 10 days ago, the stopper was one of the manager’s premier targets as he strengthens the club’s rearguard and shakes up the goalkeeping department. He will wear the No.1 shirt, which he requested and was available.

Karius, with an aggressive starting position, stellar command of his area and excellent shot-stopping skills, will provide overdue competition to Simon Mignolet.
Adam Bogdan is set to be let go, while Danny Ward is expected to spend 2016-17 on loan at Huddersfield.

Karius, who spent two years in Manchester City’s youth set-up between 2009 to 2011, admitted last month that "it would be a great to play in England again." He also explained that he would only move on if he had the feeling that "everything fits perfectly" with a prospective club. Liverpool’s interest enthused Karius, who could not pass up the chance to further develop under Klopp. The Reds boss is still revered in Mainz, where he was at the helm for seven years from 2001 to 2008.

The goalkeeper from the south of Germany was originally thought to have a release clause of just under £8 million, but that figure was skewered, with Liverpool able to do business for almost half the price.

Karius is rated as one of the foremost young talents of his country and his fellow professionals voted him the second best gloveman in the Bundesliga behind only Manuel Neuer. He could miss the start of the Premier League season, though, as he is expected to be in Germany's squad for the Olympic Games in Brazil.

Liverpool also plan to step up their pursuit of Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell as Klopp continues to bolster his squad, with talks also ongoing for Mahmoud Dahoud. If the Reds are to land the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder it would considered a massive coup considering the amount of interest in the 20-year-old.

Van Gaal was treated poorly by United, but Mourinho will be a success - De Boer

    van-gaal-mourinho-cropped_u5wkppe2wnlm18zzh9kqzpmwo.jpg

Ronald de Boer feels Louis van Gaal was treated harshly by Manchester United and expects his former boss to retire from management following his exit from Old Trafford.

United finally confirmed that Van Gaal had been sacked on Monday - just two days after they beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final - following weeks of intense speculation that the Dutchman would be replaced by Jose Mourinho.

Van Gaal paid the price for an underwhelming Premier League season in which United finished outside the Champions League qualification spots, scoring a measly 49 goals in their 38 top-flight fixtures.

But while De Boer - who was coached by Van Gaal at Ajax and Barcelona, as well as for the Netherlands national team - says United's decision came as no surprise, he told Omnisport that his countryman deserved better.

De Boer said: "As a friend I'm very sad for him, but on the other hand you could see that it was coming. "How it ended - you don't deserve to lift a big trophy then be told about 10 minutes later that you're not the manager anymore.

"It's not the way to treat a manager like that, who has won so many trophies and has so much respect from a lot of people. "But that's football, and life goes on for him. He didn't really get it going in those two years [at United].

"Why? I don't know, I was not there. I know only that he's an unbelievable manager who works his socks off and always gives 400 per cent. For whatever reason it just never really got going and that's sad."When asked for his thoughts on the 64-year-old Van Gaal's future, De Boer replied: "It's not for me to say, but I have a feeling that he will step away and enjoy life.

"He can watch some nice games, give his thoughts about football, hopefully give his advice to Dutch football, and bring Holland [the national team] back to another level - just not as a manager anymore, I guess."United are expected to appoint Mourinho as their new manager before the week is out.

De Boer played for Barcelona while the Portuguese worked as an assistant to Van Gaal, and he thinks the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss will be a success at Old Trafford."I don't know [if Mourinho will be a good fit for United], that has still to be shown," the ex-midfielder continued.

"I think he's a manager with an unbelievable record and he's winner, so yes, he can do the job for sure, but Man United is a difficult club and there's a lot of pressure on him now, but he can do it."De Boer also sees no problem with Mourinho taking Van Gaal's job, despite their cordial relationship both on a personal and professional level.

"They're friends, so it's a bit harsh when a friend takes over from you, but Van Gaal would do the same - if Mourinho was sacked by Man United and he got the opportunity…you have to accept that," he added.

Klopp can take Liverpool right to the top, says McAllister

    jurgen-klopp-cropped_s7yxp90zbvzd1rz2fvnl5tntx.jpg

Jurgen Klopp has the qualities to lead a Premier League title charge at Liverpool next season, according to club favourite Gary McAllister.

Klopp took the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers last October to two finals in 2015-16, although Liverpool were beaten in both showpieces, with Manchester City pipping them on penalties in the League Cup and Sevilla coming out on top in the Europa League. The Reds' eighth-place finish in the Premier League and defeat to Sevilla means they will not play European football next term.

However, McAllister - a cult hero on the red half of Merseyside thanks to his key role in the club's treble-winning 2000-01 season - feels a less hectic fixture schedule, coupled with Klopp's managerial stardust, could help Liverpool compete for the title in 2016-17.

The former Scotland captain, now a club ambassador at Anfield, told Omnisport: "One of the downsides of the Europa League is that it means coming back after playing on a Thursday night to always play on a Sunday or a Monday so that's not here next season.

"So they can purely focus on getting right up the league and challenging right at the top. "That's got to be the focus. The expectations are always high at Liverpool and that's the pressure that comes on the players, and they've got to try and get up there.

"I think enough has been shown since Jurgen came in that to see that we can compete right at the very top."McAllister also highlighted how vital the upcoming pre-season could be to Klopp's objective of re-establishing Liverpool as a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.

"It's his first pre-season, and I think you can see by the way that Jurgen wants to play that the physical side of it is important, and that makes pre-season even more important," the former midfielder added."It's his first opportunity to work with the players over an extended period - not just recovering - because they played a lot of games this season.

"So it's important for Jurgen, but it's also important for the players to get in and really get to know the philosophy that Jurgen's trying to get across."

Messi: One day I'd like to return to Argentina

    3218852_heroa.jpg

Lionel Messi has admitted he would like to return to Argentina when his time at Barcelona comes to an end.The 28-year-old left his home country at age 13 to join the Spanish champions after playing for the youth teams of Newell's Old Boys in Rosario.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Messi revealed his wish to experience his birthplace as an adult having grown up in Catalonia.

"One day I would like to go to Argentina because I left my country at such a young age," he said. "I couldn't enjoy Rosario, my city, my people that much."

Nearly 16 years on from his arrival in Barcelona, Messi also reflected on the challenge of adjusting to life in a new country as a teenager."It was a complicated time," he recalled. "On the one hand it was nice, because to come and play in Barcelona was something spectacular.

"On the other hand it was difficult, because I left everything behind."I left my friends, part of my family, my childhood. Arriving in a country where I had nothing, starting practically from zero, was very difficult."

From friend to foe: How Mourinho undermined Van Gaal's Man Utd reign

    3215802_heroa.jpg

When Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea for the second time, his agents couldn't have made it clearer that he was ready to jump straight back into work.

"He will not be taking a sabbatical, he isn't tired, he doesn't need it, he is very positive and is already looking forward," they said in a statement shortly after he was shown the door in December.

It just so happened that he wasn't the only high-profile Premier League manager struggling at the time. Having just overseen Manchester United's exit from the Champions League, Louis van Gaal was under pressure himself. Defeats by Bournemouth and Norwich City had also followed as a run of insipid performances cast doubt over the Dutchman's future at Old Trafford.

"Because of his love of football, you will see Jose at football grounds working and supporting friends," continued the statement. "He will not be attending any high-profile games because he wants to discourage any speculation about his future."

Once upon a time Van Gaal would have been one of those friends whom he would have been supporting. As high-profile as any Manchester United game is, he may well have been seen backing the man who gave him his big break in football.

"I consider him a big, big, big, big friend," Mourinho said of the Dutchman during the 2014-15 campaign, "but because we are working in the same country and our clubs have the same objectives, we are not speaking every week. But that feeling of him being a big friend doesn't change."

That friendship was cultivated back in the 1990s when Van Gaal turned Mourinho from a willing translator to a respected young coach of some distinction during their days together at Barcelona.

"Mourinho thought he'd been promised the youth academy job and even that he might be the next manager and hadn't been told," Van Gaal explained of his apprentice's attitude after the Dutchman had been handed the Barca job.

"He was so angry and shouted so much about not being consulted that I was impressed. On that day he was a Special One and because of that I hired him.
"I learned that day he was special. He was an excellent co-trainer, a substitute coach. Also, and I don't do it very often, I let him coach matches, because I was convinced he had specific qualities."

Van Gaal might now be left wishing that he hadn't bothered, with Mourinho about to be handed his Manchester United job after he was sacked on Monday following five long months of speculation fuelled by the Portuguese and his advisors.

Six days after Mourinho had been fired by Chelsea, Van Gaal walked out of a press conference having been visibly upset with rumours that he was about to be sacked and replaced by his former friend. No words of encouragement came from the Portuguese.

Two matches later, United had lost four games on the trot and not won in eight as they welcomed Chelsea to Old Trafford. On the forecourt at the Theatre of Dreams were street salesmen with Jose Mourinho United scarves but still the man himself did nothing to ease the pressure on his "big, big, big, big friend".

As pressure built on Van Gaal through the spring amid further defeats to the likes of Southampton, Midtjylland and Sunderland, the volume reports linking Mourinho with the 64-year-old's job only increased but, instead of moving to deflect speculation, the Special One and his team continue to lurk in the background.

While Manchester United could have handled the whole situation so much better, they were helped in no way by constant tip-offs by Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes that something would happen sooner or later.

Reports broke that Mourinho would arrive at United within days, that he would be compensated to the tune of £15 million if he didn't eventually become the manager - £5m of it if he wasn't installed before the end of the season – and that he would somehow, sometime, replace Van Gaal come what may. Whatever the particulars, what was clear was that there was communication between Mourinho and United.

And not once did the Portuguese come out and categorically deny an interest. Not once did he put the feelings of his "big, big, big, big friend" before his need to stir the pot. He would instead find a photo opportunity after a United setback. He'd go for a stroll upon the sight of cameras just when he needed to keep his name in the frame. He didn't move to quell speculation, he encouraged it.

All the while, Van Gaal was struggling to keep his head above water. On the pitch, results were not justifying the stunted approach to attacking football with which he constantly sent out his team, while, off the pitch, reports on his impending dismissal were the flavour of the moment for every moment of every day for five long months.Van Gaal had remained so convinced that he would stay in his job that he took on a cocky air with reporters in press conferences whenever they raised the issue.

Every time he was questioned, his answer came in various shades of "I'm still standing"."I don't discuss it with my friends of the media who have already sacked me for six months. Which manager can do that, what I have done?" he asked after winning the FA Cup on Saturday.

But those long, tedious months of football played against a backdrop of long and tedious speculation are now over. Mourinho's and Mendes's machinations have eventually worked to devastating effect.

Van Gaal is no longer standing proud in the face of speculation. He is no longer Manchester United manager. And it wouldn't be a surprise if he no longer considers Jose Mourinho a friend.

Dani Alves wants Atletico to win Champions League

    kokedanialves-cropped_pn4dxqu1x47y19gurhujt4fqw.jpg

Barcelona defender Dani Alves admits he is hoping Atletico Madrid prevail over bitter rivals Real Madrid in Saturday's Champions League final.

Diego Simeone's Atletico knocked defending champions Barcelona out of the tournament in the quarter-final stage, before edging past Bayern Munich in the semis.

Madrid are the only team that stand in Atletico's way of a maiden Champions League crown, in a rematch of the 2014 final that ended 4-1 in favour of the former after extra time. But Dani Alves is hoping for a different result at the San Siro, with the Brazil international of the belief that Atletico are more than worthy winners of the competition.

"I want Atletico to win in. But not just because I want Madrid to lose," the 33-year-old told AS.

"I like it when Madrid don't win, that is obvious. But I want Atletico to win it because they are a team that has worked for it. "They deserve a title of this level, and they come into it having competed with the best.

"Madrid already have a lot of Champions Leagues. I would like Atletico to have a prize for all the work they have done in recent years."

Manchester United are on course to become the first Premier League club to earn £1 billion in prize money.

According to a new study by Spreadex, United have earned £870.2 million in Premier League prize money since the 1992-93 campaign and are set to surpass the £1bn mark if they finish in the top eight next season.

This season, Arsenal received £100.9m in Premier League payments, while champions Leicester City were given £93.2m.

Despite finishing bottom of the league, Aston Villa still received £66m.

As from next season, clubs will be guaranteed at least £100m in prize money, regardless of where they finish in the table.

In the last 24 years, the Premier League has paid out £14.8bn in prize money, with £1.64bn split between clubs this term.

Manchester United lead the way in winning the most prize money since the Premier League began, with Arsenal second and Liverpool third.

'Ibrahimovic would be perfect for Manchester United'

    3194942_heroa.jpg

Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be the perfect fit for Manchester United, according to their former first-team coach Rene Meulensteen.

Goal exclusively revealed on Tuesday that United are ready to offer the 34-year-old, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer, an £8 million tax-free signing-on bonus plus a £250,000 weekly salary.

Ibrahimovic has won 12 league titles in his last 13 years and Meulensteen, who worked alongside Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford before the Scot’s retirement in 2013, believes the striker is exactly what United need.

"In some ways it would be the perfect fit for United at this moment in the time," Meulensteen told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"For young players, he's got a great personality, a charismatic person, he's a leader in the dressing room, a winner.

"He's won I don’t know how many titles so he brings a lot to the club and something that could really put United into winning ways."

'Griezmann still listening to other offers' - agent

Antoine Griezmann's agent has revealed the forward is still weighing up offers from other clubs despite reports of him signing a new contract at Atletico Madrid.

The France international has been in electrifying form this season, scoring 32 goals in all competitions as the Rojiblancos reached a second Champions League final in three years.

And his representative, Eric Olhats, has revealed the star is listening to offers from a host of clubs despite there being a deal on the table from the Vicente Calderon outfit to commit his future to them.

"Contrary to certain claims announcing that Antoine at Atletico next season will be the case without fail, nothing has been decided or endorsed," he told L'Equipe.

"We are currently listening to different clubs who also offer real interest and attraction."
