:love:Mourinho: Ibrahimovic could stay for two years

    zlatanibrahimovic-cropped_h21o6dgcq42t19gi0xlxfzpxs.jpg

Jose Mourinho has little doubt that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's career at Manchester United will extend into a second season.Swedish great Ibrahimovic reportedly signed a one-year deal, with an option for a second, when joining United in July.

At the age of 34, Ibrahimovic has shown no signs of slowing down, scoring in both of his United performances so far, including a late Wembley winner in the Community Shield against Leicester City. And Mourinho is confident that the veteran superstar has quickly settled to life in England, as well as on the pitch.

"I ask about his family, his wife, his kids - I know how important these things are to him - integration, house and everything is fine and everybody is happy," Mourinho said before Fridays Premier League visit of Southampton."He has a very high motivation, so I see him here, no doubts, for the next two years."

Mourinho will be able to call upon the services of the world's most expensive football at Old Trafford on Friday as Paul Pogba returns from suspension.Eric Bailly has also impressed in his early days at Old Trafford, and Mourinho is pleased with the way he is dealing with the pressure.

"Bailly is a young boy playing in a completely different competition with a different club, but despite all the pressure and expectation that comes with playing for United, he plays against Leicester at Wembley and is comfortable, leading and communicative."

Guardiola: Hart can go if he wants

    joe-hart-manchester-city_144kfm0v26jzz1ac5t3vrl6h5s.jpg

Pep Guardiola says he will allow Joe Hart to leave Manchester City this summer if the goalkeeper asks for a move.

Hart has found himself on the sidelines so far this season, with Willy Caballero preferred in goal for the games against Sunderland and Steaua Bucharest.

Goal understands City will soon clinch the signing of Barcelona's Claudio Bravo, and that Hart is keen to leave after a difficult start to life under the new manager. And Guardiola says he would allow the England No.1 to go if he came and requested a transfer, although he did insist he will improve if he decides to stay.

"Yes of course," he said at a press conference. "I want happiness for the players, I dont want them to stay here if they don't want to stay."All the players here have a contract, if they decide they are going to stay they are going to stay. But they know the situation when I spoke with them. The situation, I spoke individually with them, so they know exactly what the situation is.

"I don't know if the players are not happy here, or if they want to stay. They decide the future because they have the contract. If they want to stay, they will stay. We will fight together to achieve, if they want to leave because they prefer to play every game... but I'm not speaking about Joe, speaking about all the players at the club."There is no doubt about that."

Guardiola spoke at length about the Hart situation, explaining why he has been left out of the opening games and how he can improve in the future, but in highlighting that he was brought to the Etihad Stadium to deploy his vaunted gameplan, it is yet another clear sign that the England No.1 just does not fit into his plans.

“I was clear with what I was looking for. I am here at Manchester City because they contacted me to play the way I like, the way I grew up from 13-14 years old, and I am here to try to convince the players.

“Up until the 31st of this month everything is open with the people who are coming and the people who are leaving.

“In September I will know exactly which people are going to live together, fight together, enjoy together, to discuss together all the situations that are going to happen during the season.

“Maybe Joe will stay here and be a player who will fight with the other goalkeepers to convince me to play [him]. It’s simple like that. He knows from the beginning what I feel and what is the situation.“After that I know he may be staying, he may be leaving, the same case for other players. That’s what it is.

“Nothing has changed."Although Hart's chances of winning his place back would appear especially slim if Bravo completes his move as expected, and the Guardiola has suggested he simply is not suitable, the Catalan admits it is possible that he can stay and improve, citing the example of Eric Abidal."I said to him in the first moment: If he stays, he's going to improve," he added.

"He's going to understand what we want, what we want from our goalkeeper.I met a lot of players at the beginning who had their problems - I'm not talking about the goalkeepers - they had their problems at the beginning, but after one month, two months, six months, one year, they became one of the best players in that position. That can happen.

"But when Willy played those two games, right now, in that situation, [it is because] he is better. Today. But that doesn't mean it [can't change] in the future. They have to decide if they want to stay or if they want to leave. If he wants to stay here I want to help him, after every week I am going to decide.

"An example: I met Abidal, the left-back from Barcelona, and in the beginning, the way we played, he had a problem. And at the end, he became the best left central defender in Europe, in my opinion. Fast, intelligent, strong in the air, in the build-up he was a masterclass.

"But he took time, in the beginning he was not the best, as we demanded. We demand of a central defender and goalkeeper that they have to play. They don't only have to defend. They have to defend, and they have to play. And the goalkeeper, the first thing they are looking for, is to be safe, to keep the ball. For me it's the most important thing, but after, it's to play with the ball, they have to help us to create a good build-up. That's why I'm here.

"And in the future, of course [Hart] can do that, but now in this moment, because Willy was in the whole pre-season, he was two or three weeks more than Joe because he was on holidays after the European Cup, and because I saw so many things, in those games I decided to play with Willy, but it doesn't mean that Willy is going to play all the season, it doesn't mean that Joe isn't going to play.

"That I explained to Joe in China. I try to be clear with my players. I know Joe's quality, I have a lot of respect, it's not an easy decision for me to say now you don't play, and I'll play Willy, but I was clear what I'm looking for, to help us. We are not an academy where you have time. Here we have time, but not a lot of time.

We won 5-0 at Bucharest and everybody says you are very good, but before you never know what is going to happen. Now in the big teams you don't give me time to create something, people don't have patience in that level, people have results now, immediately.

"Of course we can do that with Joe, of course. I'm not judging. We have Xabier Mancisidor [the goalkeeper coach] and the people to judge the quality of the players, and I know Joe's quality, I have a lot of respect, but in that moment, what I am looking for from the beginning, I decided for Willy. That's all."

Dybala will be one of the world's best - Allegri

    dybala-cropped_yisg5rhcyzm01ic3mdolgonva.jpg

Massimiliano Allegri has tipped Paulo Dybala to become one of the world's best three players.Juventus host Fiorentina on Saturday in their opening Serie A game of the new campaign as they begin their attempt to win a sixth consecutive league title.

Head coach Allegri has overseen a busy close-season in which Paul Pogba left for Manchester United in a world-record deal and five senior players arrived, including Dybala's compatriot and fellow attacker Gonzalo Higuain for €90 million.
But it is 22-year-old Dybala, signed last summer from Palermo, who Allegri thinks is set for super-stardom.

"Dybala is an extraordinary player and he can do even better things than last year," said Allegri."He will become one of the world's top three players. He had impressive growth last season - if I think back to when he arrived, he had changed totally three months later.

"He's a lad who is always improving and he has great focus and determination which are the reasons he will keep getting better."Ahead of the Fiorentina game, Allegri would not reveal whether two of their key additions - Miralem Pjanic and Higuain - would start.

He added: "I have already decided on seven of my starting XI. I will evaluate on Friday and Saturday morning whether Pjanic is in a condition to play. "Higuain's physical condition is improving. When he came here he wasn't in great condition, but now he's much better and he scored in the friendly at Villar Perosa.

"Sami Khedira's been training with us for 15 days - he's in good shape. Patrice Evra has a knock but he should be fit."Who will play up front? Dybala will play and for the rest, you will have to wait and see."

Pulis: Evans to Arsenal 'pure speculation'

    jonnyevans-cropped_1oq4u7lpjgfbg18h5q90kqvshy.jpg

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has dismissed the prospect of Jonny Evans joining Arsenal, even though he believes the Northern Ireland defender still has the ability to play for an elite club.

Pre-season injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista, along with Laurent Koscielny's late return from Euro 2016 duty with France have left Arsenal short at centre-back.

Inexperienced duo Calum Chambers and Rob Holding provided the protection for goalkeeper Petr Cech as Arsenal's defence was breached four times in last Sunday's opening Premier League defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

Along with being linked heavily to a big-money move for Valencia's Germany international Shkodran Mustafi, ex-Manchester United defender Evans has been mentioned as an alternative option to bring much-needed knowhow to Arsene Wenger's backline.

"It's pure speculation and it fills newspapers and TV time," Pulis told a news conference ahead of West Brom's meeting with Everton on Saturday."If Arsenal come in for Jonny we will do it between the clubs. I'm not going to sit here and talk about doing a deal with anyone.

"We want him to stay with us because he's outstanding. He was most probably our best player against Palace."Evans performed impressively as Northern Ireland progressed to the second round of Euro 2016 and Pulis has no doubt over the 28-year-old's continued capabilities at the highest level.

"The thing is with Jonny, I think he could play anywhere," he added. "He reads the game so well, never gives the ball away, has been a great addition to our squad and is well respected in the dressing room."

Carl Zeiss Jena 0-5 Bayern Munich: Lewandowski hat-trick fires reigning champions into next round

    robert-lewandowski-cropped_16obae3n8f7m41upotx6c5gzi6.jpg

Bayern Munich started their DFB-Pokal title defence with a 5-0 win over Regionalliga Nordost side Carl Zeiss Jena courtesy of a Robert Lewandowski hat-trick and goals from Arturo Vidal and Mats Hummels at the Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld.

Prolific striker Lewandowski opened the scoring within three minutes, netted a second shortly after the half-hour mark and took his tally to three shortly before the interval to all but send his side through to the second round.Vidal and Hummels made it five after the break, the latter heading home his first goal for the club since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.

Carlo Ancelotti had to make do without wingers Arjen Robben, Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa due to injury and opted to start with Thomas Muller and Franck Ribery out wide.

Fourth-tier side Carl Zeiss Jena had recorded four consecutive league wins heading into the game and were high on confidence, hoping to spring a surprise. They were never really able to worry Bayern, though, as the reigning Bundesliga champions were simply too much of a force and followed up last weekend's DFL-Supercup win over Dortmund with a comfortable win.The Bavarians made a fine start to the game and needed only three minutes to open the scoring via Lewandowski.

The Poland international failed to get his first shot on target after some great work from Ribery down the left, his miskick ending up at Muller's feet. Lewandowski's fellow attacker knocked the ball back into his path with a clever touch and he had no trouble firing home at the second attempt.

Bayern continued to create chance after chance following their early opener, but Jena goalkeeper Raphael Koczor pulled off a number of fine saves to deny Muller, Ribery and Lewandowski.

There was nothing Koczor could do to keep out Lewandowski in the 34th minute, though. Dominik Bock's poor touch after a throughball from Ribery saw the former Borussia Dortmund striker clean through on goal and he prodded past the Jena keeper from close range to make it 2-0.Lewandowski was unstoppable at times in the first half and completed his hat-trick two minutes before the break. Ribery cut inside from the left, set up the 27-year-old on the edge of the area and he gave Koczor no chance with a low shot into the near corner.

Bayern took their feet off the gas after half-time and Jena made an encouraging start to the second half, without really managing to trouble Manuel Neuer. They were restricted to defending again whenever Ancelotti's men pushed forward, though, and Vidal came close to making it four when he hit the crossbar with 64 minutes on the clock, also hitting the upright later on.

But Vidal would net Bayern's fourth after all in the 72nd minute following a quick team move. Lewandowski beat the offside trap before setting up his Chilean team-mate, who tapped home from close range to add his name to the scoresheet.

There was more to come from the away side and Hummels eventually headed the fifth past Koczor with 13 minutes left on the clock after being set up by Joshua Kimmich.

Simeone: Pep & Mourinho should be in charge of Spain & Portugal

    simeone-cropped_10akthvicmhxu12o4vimwqpspy.jpg

Diego Simeone says the game's top club coaches should be allowed to manage their nations alongside their day jobs.

The Atletico Madrid boss has long been linked with the Argentina job and Fernando Marin – involved with the normalisation committee in charge of the Argentine Football Association's affairs – had suggested he could combine the role with his duties in LaLiga prior to their appointment of Edgardo Bauza.

Simeone does not think the present system allows for such an arrangement, but feels international football would be boosted if bosses could combine their club roles with being in charge of their countries.

The 46-year-old does not think it is right that World Cup, Copa America and European Championship tournaments take place without featuring the top coaches.

"I think that things have to happen when they happen, but maybe all this hunger I have as a coach could come out in another way," he said to Movistar."It is difficult. Of course it is not easy, but over time we can achieve that. Not today – the system is not ready yet."But I've asked myself many times why [Pep] Guardiola does not manage Spain.

Why [Jose] Mourinho does not manage Portugal. Why [Manuel] Pellegrini not Chile. [Jurgen] Klopp and Germany. [Carlo] Ancelotti and Italy. Many coaches, possibly the best, cannot coach their national sides.

"We must look for something different, as the supposed 'best managers in the world' cannot manage their national sides. That is not good. We must look for solutions for us, who would like to coach the best clubs in the world, and also our national teams.

"Don't ask me to choose, as I am the coach. We should look for a system that strengthens the coaches to be in the best places in the world. Maybe in time it will come."
