1st match against Sporting - Were so close to loosing but somehow managed to win by a miracle!
2nd match against dortmund - I was so damn sure we were gonna eat the dirt but again somehow managed to hold out
3rd match against legia - lacked the intensity and the style of play even though we won.

Not certain about the Sporting match so gonna have to win against dortmund

'Memphis is too good for the Man Utd bench'

    hd-memphis-depay-manchester-united_1ohp8x402meet13zs0e379t0q8.jpg

Fenerbahce boss Dick Advocaat says Memphis Depay should leave Manchester United if first-team football continues to elude him.

The Netherlands international has struggled to settle at Old Trafford since joining from PSV and has started just once under Jose Mourinho, in the 3-1 win over Northampton Town in the EFL Cup.

Memphis was left out of the United squad to face Fenerbahce in Thursday's Europa League clash in Istanbul, prompting further speculation that he could be offloaded in January, with AC Milan reportedly interested.

Advocaat, who was PSV head coach in the 2012-13 campaign, believes his former charge must consider his future as he is "too good to sit on the bench"."The potential is there for him to be a good player," he said. "You cannot lose that, he has the quality to be a top player.

"But the problem for him is that there are so many quality players in that squad, so for himself it is important to start playing regularly at the age he is at."Otherwise, maybe he has to find another solution because he is too good to sit on the bench.

"I still believe in him. He has the right mentality, the right character to play for United, but there are so many options there. Regular playing time will help his progression."

:love:Mata wins Man Utd's Player of the Month in closest-ever poll

    hd-juan-mata-manchester-united-manchester-city-26102016_o49pk7z3q1lp1xuwd7n36ei2v.jpg

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has won the club's Player of the Month award, seeing off competition from Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.

The Red Devils have revealed that it is the closest poll they've ever had, with Mata taking 198 more votes than Spain international team-mate Herrera with a total of 90,000 submissions counted.

The former Chelsea midfielder has been one of the stand-out performers during what has been an indifferent start to the 2016-17 campaign for Jose Mourinho's side.United won just two games in October, the EFL Cup derby victory over Manchester City and a 4-1 Europa League triumph against Fenerbahce.

Mata was the hero in that cup clash at Old Trafford, scoring the winning goal after 54 minutes, but he was unable to help his side beat Burnley in Saturday's stalemate at Old Trafford.

Bradley: Berbatov is on Swansea's radar

    dimitarberbatov-cropped_mu655nn2uyvw1lyul97as9cnz.jpg

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley is monitoring Dimitar Berbatov with a view to bringing the veteran striker back to the Premier League.

Berbatov has been a free agent since his contract with PAOK expired at the end of last season. The former Bulgaria international last played in the Premier League with Fulham in 2014, following distinguished spells at Tottenham and Manchester United.

The 35-year-old said earlier this week that he would relish a return and Bradley, appointed at Swansea at the start of last month following the sacking of Francesco Guidolin, says bringing Berbatov to the Liberty Stadium is a possibility."I actually saw him in May at the celebration game for [Hristo] Stoichkov in Sofia," he told reporters.

"I've met him a few times and know he's anxious to get back in the Premier League. Everybody in our club knows that, so when there's discussions his name is mentioned, but where it goes we'll see."He's on our radar but there are a lot of things on our radar."

Since Bradley's arrival, Swansea have taken one point from their three Premier League outings, a sequence the American hopes to improve upon when Manchester United visit on Sunday. In Thursday's pre-match media conference, Bradley said Swansea's inability to deal with key moments in games is costing them dear.

"In a match, situations develop quickly, and you need the ability to recognise those situations, to smell danger and react quickly," he said."For me, that's the area where I think we are missing the most. That's what I mean when I talk about players lacking confidence.

"In a game you can appear for long stretches to be doing a solid enough job, but you cannot have four, five or six plays where the ball pops loose, the opponent does something a bit different from what you expect and they make something out of it. "We don't deal with those situations well enough. I have seen examples of that before I came in and I still see them.

"People have made an effort to get back into the game, but in terms of asserting ourselves at the right moment, we have to improve."

Thompson sees Liverpool following De Gea blueprint with Karius

    hd-loris-karius-liverpool_eaq5508yi6jd15g85virpte7g.jpg

Phil Thompson has acknowledged that Liverpool remain a work in progress when it comes to defending set-pieces, but hopes Loris Karius can adapt his game to handle the rigours of the Premier League.

Goalkeepers will be expected to take the lead when defending corners or free-kicks, with it up to them to organise those in front of them and ensure that all potential threats are being monitored.

Jurgen Klopp’s high-flying Reds have not found the right formula just yet, with their free-scoring efforts at the opposite end of the field helping to mask any issues at the back.

They will, however, have to get things right if they are to maintain a Premier League title challenge, and Thompson is looking for German shot-stopper Karius to follow the blueprint of Manchester United number one, David de Gea.

The Spaniard endured initial struggles upon his arrival at Old Trafford, with the physicality of English football coming as something of a surprise, but the Spaniard has matured into one of world football’s finest shot-stoppers.

Thompson said in his Sky Sports column: “They have to concentrate much, much more, and eradicate these problems. If they do, I think they'll be better off.

“If you remember when David De Gea first arrived at Manchester United, they did a similar thing to what Liverpool are doing with Karius. If he turns out half the player that De Gea turned out to be, things are good.”Karius is only six games into his Anfield career, having been snapped up from Mainz over the summer.

He has already done enough to convince countryman Klopp that he is worth preserving with, though, with the 23-year-old having nudged Simon Mignolet down the pecking order on Merseyside.

:(Fenerbahce 2-1 Manchester United: Mourinho's men downed in Istanbul

    fenerbahce-manchester-united_1jdrelnkysngj1c5t7xjimd7nt.jpg

Moussa Sow's sensational overhead effort and a brilliant free-kick from Jeremain Lens helped Fenerbahce to a fine 2-1 Europa League win over an out-of-sorts Manchester United, who lost Paul Pogba to injury.Fener were swept aside in a 4-1 loss at Old Trafford a fortnight ago in a match that saw Pogba score twice.

But Jose Mourinho has faced increased scrutiny over United's indifferent Premier League form with a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley in which they registered 37 shots on goal at the weekend the latest disappointment.

And the Portuguese's mood would hardly have been helped by Sow's stunning acrobatic opener in just the second minute of the Group A contest in Istanbul that left left United with an uphill task.

The loss of world-record signing Pogba to injury shortly before half-time compounded United's misery, before Lens - on a season-long loan from Sunderland - rubbed salt in the wounds with a brilliant 59th-minute free-kick.

Captain Wayne Rooney reduced the deficit with a magnificent long-range goal of his own that drew him level with Ruud van Nistelrooy on the list of United's all-time leading goalscorers in Europe on 38.

But it did little to mask a limp, disjointed performance from United and they are now one point adrift of new pool leaders Fener and Feyenoord, who drew 1-1 at Zorya, with two group games remaining.

There was nothing United could do about Fener's spectacular opener, though.
Hasan Ali Kaldirim crossed from the left and Sow connected with a stunning overhead kick just inside the area that looped over David De Gea.

United struggled to create openings in their search for an equaliser and Morgan Schneiderlin was fortunate his crude challenge on Jeremain Lens occurred just outside the box.Anthony Martial did carve open Fener's defence with a fine ball into the path of Rooney, but his touch was poor and Martin Skrtel cleared the danger.

United were then forced into a premature change when Pogba, who had earlier taken a strong challenge from Souza, hobbled off to be replaced by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The visitors continued to toil and emotions almost boiled over towards the end of the half with Ibrahimovic involved in a coming together with Simon Kjaer, while Fener goalkeeper Volkan Demirel took exception to a Rooney challenge on Souza.

Fener were happy to sit back in the second half and allow United to dictate possession and the visitors appeared devoid of ideas, with a glancing Rooney header all they had to show for their efforts. And the hosts' approach paid dividends shortly before the hour when Lens curled an excellent 25-yard free-kick into the bottom right-hand corner past a helpless De Gea.

United were fortunate the game was not beyond all doubt when substitute Emmanuel Emenike sprung the offside trap to collect Lens' throughball, his heavy touch allowing De Gea to make the save.

Rooney forced a nervy ending by picking out the top-left corner from almost 30 yards, but Fener held out for the points.

Impotent, pitiful, lifeless: Man Utd's attack is inexplicably a big issue

    zlatan-ibrahimovic_1rhfipt2bg33u1bero284jauh5.jpg

Manchester United seem to be finding new ways to defeat themselves every time they take the field. On Thursday they dominated possession, but made no noteworthy opportunities before the 89th minute, and watched Fenerbahce score two wonderful goals to earn the spoils in their Europa League group A clash in Istanbul.

After their 38-shot onslaught against Burnley was foiled by the magnificent Tom Heaton on Saturday, United’s attacking effort came from the opposite end of the scale in Turkey and a 2-1 defeat was just desserts for their lack of any kind of threat in the final third.

United’s goal return in recent weeks has been pitiful, and until Wayne Rooney rifled a late consolation they couldn’t have looked less likely to score as Dick Advocaat’s outfit snatched a sensational early goal from Moussa Sow and forced the visitors to attempt to break them down. The Dutchman has seen enough of United of late to have known it was exactly the right approach.

Whether fashioning five chances or 38, United look impotent at the moment, and Rooney’s late strike only served to underline what they should have been doing in the previous 88 minutes. Despite having spent over £110 million in the summer on attacking talent to complement a side already boasting big-money stars such as Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata, they have a collection of forwards whose heads drop at the first sign of adversity. Only when the goose was cooked did anyone attempt something new.

Much has been made of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s lack of goals - and he could certainly do with putting in as much effort to getting on track as he did to a running vocal battle with Martin Skrtel and Simon Kjaer - but he is only the start of their issues in opposition territory. Rooney was given a start against Fenerbahce, and yet was quickly giving further evidence for the case to push him straight back down the pecking order. The England captain has simply lost his touch and on present form will never find it again. He will score the occasional goal, as he proved here, but it is hardly enough to compensate for extensive periods of inadequacy.

In many respects, United should have grave worries about their defence right now given the losses of Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling to injury but, despite the makeshift nature of a back line with Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo at its heart, it is the forward department which is badly letting down the club at the moment.

There was a lack of width about their attacking play, even after Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were introduced after the break to provide some new direction on the ball, and Fener goalkeeper Volkan Demirel had nothing to do before watching Rooney’s shot hit the back of the net. Yes, they had lost Paul Pogba to injury during the first half, but there was little identifiable difference between their approach pre- and post-the Frenchman’s departure.

Jose Mourinho has a lot on his plate. He insisted before the home fixture with Fenerbahce that he will need time to make things right at Old Trafford, but as soon as Jeremain Lens’ excellent free-kick found the net to make it 2-0 on the hour mark there was about as much belief on display in the Portuguese’s face as there was in his side’s attacking play.

United won’t lose out too much from this defeat since they will still qualify for the knockout stage if they beat Feyenoord and Zorya Luhansk in their two remaining group A games, and even an early Europa League elimination would damage their pride more than it would their ambitions.

But there is a very real fear that such form is quickly becoming the norm for this United side. Louis van Gaal’s squad failed repeatedly because of a flawed set-up which continually undermined them in the same fashion week after week.

Mourinho’s Man Utd are starting to take on a very similar look, and the sooner he can inject some new ideas into his side’s attack, the better.

Rooney equals Van Nistelrooy's European goal record for Man Utd

    fenerbahce-manchester-united_1jdrelnkysngj1c5t7xjimd7nt.jpg

Manchester United may have slipped to a 2-1 defeat away at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening, but Wayne Rooney will be able to take a couple of positives from the game. The Red Devils skipper was included from the start by Jose Mourinho in Istanbul, after a recent run of games on the bench.

He rewarded that show of faith with a spectacular strike in the dying minutes, with a 25-yard drive screaming into the top corner.

His effort was unable to rescue anything from the tie, but it did help the 31-year-old to reach another notable landmark at Old Trafford – with his goal return in continental competition now on a par with Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Rooney is also fast closing in on another United goal-scoring record, with Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time return for the club now well within his sights.

Rooney may get another opportunity to add to his tally on Sunday against Swansea City in the Premier League before attention switches to the latest round of international fixtures.
