Juventus interested in Real Madrid right-back Danilo

    danilo-real-madrid_hjmg7u9oo6zu1j9if7pad31dq.jpg

Juventus is interested in signing Real Madrid right-back Danilo, Goal can reveal.
Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici has met with an intermediary of the 25-year-old Brazilian, with a view to completing a deal before the 2017-18 season. The Serie A champions have made an initial offer of €15 million plus bonuses, but Madrid is hoping to secure a fee of €30m for the right-back.

Wtih Dani Alves confirming his Juventus departure on Thursday, the Serie A champions are in need of reinforcements at the right-back position. Negotiations will likely continue for Danilo, who has failed to lock down a starting role since arriving from Porto in a €31.5m deal in the summer of 2015.

With Dani Carvajal secure in his spot as Real Madrid's first-choice right-back, the Blancos could look to recoup some of their investment in Danilo after just two seasons.

Sources close to the defender say that he is still happy in Madrid, however, and is not necessarily looking to move on from the Bernabeu.

'Lukaku not ready to replace Costa' - Chelsea told to look at alternatives by Cascarino

    romelu-lukaku-everton_dw3urqd8akpq1vjpnktlf0mhl.jpg

Romelu Lukaku is “not the finished article" and Chelsea should be looking elsewhere to replace Diego Costa, says Tony Cascarino.

The Blues haven been heavily linked with a move to bring the Belgium international back to Stamford Bridge three years after selling him to Everton.

It could cost them close to £100 million to secure his signature for a second time, with a Premier League rival understandably reluctant to part with a man who has netted 71 times in 133 appearances.

Cascarino believes completing such a move would be the wrong choice for the Blues, with there better options to be found in the Bundesliga if Antonio Conte wants a proven performer to lead the line.

The former Chelsea striker told FourFourTwo: “To replace someone of Costa’s quality, you’re looking beyond Lukaku. He’s not the finished article.“You should be looking at [Robert] Lewandowski or [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, who’s lightning quick; [Antoine] Griezmann or someone like that.

“It’s hard, but sometimes transfers you think are impossible actually happen in the end. There’s [Alvaro] Morata at Real Madrid, who Conte signed at Juventus, but he might not trust him.“There are players out there, but there aren’t many of that proven quality to replace Diego Costa.”

While a big fan of Costa, who netted 20 times in 2016-17 to help Chelsea to the Premier League title, Cascarino acknowledges that Conte may be better free of his problematic attitude. He added: “To be honest, I envisage that Monday morning at Cobham [after title win], Costa was knocking on the manager’s door moaning about something.

“There are certain players who just drive you crazy. He’s had three good seasons, won titles, but he doesn’t want to be there. You don’t ever keep a player who doesn’t want to be at your club.”Chelsea first signed Lukaku in 2011 but handed him just 15 appearances before seeing him flourish on loan at West Brom and Everton.

The arrival of Costa in 2014 helped to convince the Blues that they no longer needed the Belgian, but they will need added firepower this summer after informing their current top marksman that he is free to move on.

Madrid target Ceballos will decide future after U21 Euros

    ceballos-cropped_1twuw8zqhi0v1fngb8yyo7vkr.jpg

Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos said he will decide his future following the European Under-21 Championship as he continues to be linked with La Liga titleholders Real Madrid.

Madrid are reportedly ready to prise Ceballos away from Betis, though president Angel Haro claimed the Spanish and European champions have not made contact regarding the 20-year-old.

Ceballos has played a starring role in Spain's run to the final in Poland and the highly-rated player will meet with Betis head coach Quique Setien soon."I am aware of what is going to happen after the European Championship," Ceballos told Marca.

"I will go and talk to Setien, as the coach told me that he wanted to talk to me personally to decide my rest period."From there I will decide my future and where I'll play next season with my family and the company that represents me."

:)Pogba reminds Man Utd's rivals he has three trophies and nobody remembers losers

    paul-pogba-manchester-united-europa-league_9co7au5f2dh01a8rej7nv2hi5.jpg

Paul Pogba says winning trophies is “all that matters”, and he helped Manchester United to three in the 2016-17 campaign.

The French midfielder returned to Old Trafford in a record-breaking transfer which placed immediate pressure on his broad shoulders. He acknowledges that both he and United allowed their standards to dip at times, with a sixth-place finish in the Premier League a cause of frustration.

Jose Mourinho’s side were, however, to end the season having tasted Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League glory, and Pogba has been quick to point out that people only remember winners.

He told Esquire magazine: “I accept that we didn’t play well, we didn’t do this, we didn’t do that.“I know what we did – we won three trophies. That’s all I know. And that’s all that matters.

“Because you can be the best team in the world, you can play great football and you win zero trophies. And who remembers them? No-one. Right?”

Pogba has also reiterated that the burden of expectation which accompanied his big-money transfer from Juventus did not weigh on him.

He always believed that he would return to United at some stage and paid little attention to how much it cost the club to make that happen.

The 24-year-old added: “After one week, I forgot about the fee. It’s people that reminded me.“Because, at the end of the day, when you die, the most expensive and less expensive, they go in the same grave.

“So I don’t even think about it. I left Manchester to play. That’s all I wanted. Even though I was young, I felt I could play now and I didn’t want to wait. So if it wasn’t with Manchester it would be with someone else.

“But in my mind, I knew, ‘It’s not finished, I might come back’. My mum told me this, ‘You’ll come back one day’.”Pogba made 51 appearances across all competitions for United in 2016-17, netting nine goals.

Barca and Man Utd target Saul would like 'a bit more money'

    saul-niguez-spain-u21-vs-italy_hpbbhz274f8l1298cv8vg5i6z.jpg

Saul Niguez has attracted interest from Barcelona and Manchester United and admits he is looking for “a bit more money” at Atletico Madrid. The 22-year-old midfielder is currently starring for Spain at the European U21 Championship.

He is one of the more experienced performers at that competition, having made close to 150 appearances for Atletico – including plenty of Champions League outings.

Considered to be one of the most promising players in European football, the admiring glances being shot in his direction come as no surprise.

Saul has sought to play down the rumours suggesting a summer move could be on the cards, but did tell reporters while away in Poland: “I am happy at Atletico and I feel valued but everyone would like to earn a bit more money to be able to help out the family.

“I’m fine at Atletico. I don’t want to leave. It was hard to get the confidence of Cholo [Diego Simeone] and now that I have it, it would be very difficult to start from zero at another team.

“I don’t see myself outside Atletico, something very surprising would have to happen.”Saul is clearly not looking for a move elsewhere, but he has not completely closed the transfer door either.

Barca are reported to see him as a possible alternative to long-term target Marco Verratti of Paris Saint-Germain.Any interested party would, however, have to meet a €80 million release clause.

Man Utd target James told to do what makes him happy by Falcao

Colombia forward Radamel Falcao just wants James Rodriguez to be happy amid persistent speculation linking the Real Madrid midfielder with a move.James, 25, is expected to make a Madrid exit in the off-season, with Manchester United, Chelsea and AC Milan linked with a move for the playmaker.

Ahead of a crucial season and the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Falcao urged his Colombia team-mates, including James, to focus on their happiness when deciding their futures.

"For the sake of them and the team, I hope that all who have to make a decision do it in the best way possible and above all that makes them happy," he said, via Sport. While Jose Pekerman's men sit second in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, they are just four points clear of sixth-placed Ecuador.

"I have dreamed a lot about the World Cup, which is one of my main motivations to move forward," Falcao said."But I do not want to overtake the facts, so if God gives me the opportunity to be there, that day will come."

Alexis Sanchez: I know what my future holds

    alexis-sanchez-chile_v2n3j9o8svgg1cnic407vibuv.jpg

Alexis Sanchez has already decided if he will leave Arsenal this summer, but will not confirm his intentions until after the Confederations Cup.

Sanchez's Chile face Germany in the final on Sunday after beating Euro 2016 champions Portugal in a penalty shoot-out following a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.

With a year remaining on his current deal, Sanchez is yet to commit his future to Arsenal. The Gunners' fifth-place finish in the Premier League last term means they miss out on a spot in the Champions League, adding fuel to rumours he could leave.

The 28-year-old has been linked with Bayern Munich and Manchester City, although the Bundesliga champions appear to have cooled their interest due to his large price tag.

Sanchez appeared at a press conference on Friday alongside City's Claudio Bravo and was asked directly whether he would be joining the goalkeeper at the Etihad Stadium."Right now I'm focused on the Confederations Cup," he said. "When this is finished I will see if I stay or go."

When pressed, Sanchez added: "Yes [my future] is clear, but I can't tell you."
Sanchez remains Chile's key player and talked up his country's chances of adding to their Copa America titles in 2015 and 2016 in Russia.

"My individualism can sometimes play against me, but I know I need my team-mates and they need me," he said."We are here to make history, we have beaten Spain, Argentina ... we can beat anyone."

Bayern president Uli Hoeness appeared to confirm media reports this week suggesting the club had ended their pursuit of Sanchez due to the 28-year-old's age and the amount of money it would take to sign him from Arsenal.

"You can't build a new team with €100 million transfers for 29 and 30-year-olds.That isn't a policy," Hoeness told Kicker. "Either we go down this road with all these young players, all getting a chance to play, or we don't go down this road."

But Bayern and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal has previously called for the club to sign his international colleague.

"We'll see if Alexis is coming. I do not know yet," Vidal told Bild. "I know him very well. He is a spectacular player. And we would certainly improve with him."
Alexis scored 24 goals in 38 Premier League matches for Arsenal last term, with a further three coming in the Champions League.

    Barcelona to re-sign Deulofeu

    gerard-deulofeu-milan-bologna-serie-a_1rd3cvym392hw1h6vpds0c5yr4.jpg

Barcelona have activated their buy-back clause to re-sign winger Gerard Deulofeu from Everton, in a move reportedly worth €12 million. The 23-year-old impressed in the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, having initially left Barca for Everton in 2015.

Deulofeu has been linked with a return to Serie A, but is now back on Barca's books after Ernesto Valverde's club exercised their right to bring the winger back to Camp Nou.

"Barcelona have activated the buy-back clause for Gerard Deulofeu," read the club's statement on Friday."In the following days, the terms will be agreed with both Everton and the player. Deulofeu's contract will run until 30 June 2019."

Juventus, Milan and Roma had been linked with moves for Deulofeu, but any interested clubs will now have to strike a deal with Barca to secure him.Deulofeu played 17 times for Milan in Serie A after joining them on loan in January, scoring four times, and his strong performances earned a re-call to the senior Spain squad.

He is captaining his country's Under-21 side at the European Championship in Poland, with Spain in the final against Germany later on Friday.

Prior to his permanent move to Everton, reportedly worth £4.2m, he had spent a year on loan with at Goodison Park in 2013-14 and spent the following season at Sevilla.

A Barcelona youth product, he has only made six first-team appearances for the club, two of them coming in LaLiga.

'Donnarumma not chasing money' - Ranieri hits out at 'ridiculous' Milan betrayal talk

    gianluigidonnarumma-cropped_12l0lkfnw6xub161oqxr8ov2j1.jpg

Claudio Ranieri insists Gianluigi Donnarumma is not chasing money and believes a move to Real Madrid would demonstrate the goalkeeper's ambition as the saga surrounding his AC Milan contract continues.

Donnarumma, who deleted his Instagram account and claimed it was hacked last week after a string of mixed messages on social media, is due to meet with Milan to hold discussions on his future now that Italy are out of the European Under-21 Championship.

Madrid are one of the clubs to be linked with the 18-year-old after he rejected an offer to extend his San Siro contract beyond 2018, the Serie A outfit claiming their offer was worth €50million over five years.

Donnarumma had fake money thrown at him by angry supporters during Italy's match against Denmark at the Euros in Poland this month.

But Ranieri, former head coach of Milan's city rivals Inter as well as the likes of Juventus, Roma and Napoli, is on the side of Donnarumma and his controversial agent Mino Raiola."I am with Donnarumma and Raiola," new Nantes boss Ranieri told Gazzetta dello Sport."This is nothing to do with money and it is ridiculous to talk about a betrayal.

"The crux of the problem is that the player will only renew his contract if he believes in the relaunched project presented by the new Rossoneri ownership.

"Raiola said long ago, 'A talent like Donnarumma deserves to be part of a great team'. Are Milan on the level of the five or six leading European teams?

"It is not about money because the offer from the Rossoneri leaders is excellent. It is a matter of ambition, a professional career path."If Donnarumma went to Real Madrid he would probably win two or three Champions Leagues in the next 10 years, right?

"It is normal to have doubts, yet they accuse him of being a traitor. If he stays, it will be a tremendous act of love for the Rossoneri world."

Perisic ready to force €30m move to Man Utd

    perisic-fiorentina-inter-serie-a_zwmf41qph7mr1c5tzumu2jxkr.jpg

Manchester United could still sign Ivan Perisic from Inter for their preferred price of €30 million despite the news the San Siro outfit are set to meet Financial Fair Play requirements.

The Nerazzurri believe they have managed to stave off sanctions by UEFA thanks to a number of smaller deals which have raised the €30m they needed by the June 30 deadline, cancelling out the immediate need to offload Perisic.

But the Croatian midfielder could yet force Inter into a corner by demanding a move, with United remaining on standby in the hope of making a swoop for far less than the Italians’ €45m valuation.

Perisic is keen to test himself in the Premier League and changed agents during the 2016-17 season after being dissatisfied with his former agent Tonci Martic’s attempts to help him complete a move to England.

And Goal understands his new negotiator, Fali Ramadani, has been given orders to take a far more aggressive approach in helping the 28-year-old to make a move this summer, leaving United in a healthy bargaining position when it comes to a transfer fee.

Inter’s continued struggles since Perisic’s arrival at San Siro in 2015 have caused the player no small amount of frustration, with finishes of fourth and seventh ensuring the former European champions’ absence from the Champions League extends to a sixth season.

And the former Wolfsburg wide man’s disappointment at Inter’s lack of progress is set to bring about an impasse which will eventually win him a move away.United have been steadfast in their refusal so far to raise their valuation of Perisic beyond €30m, and that stance is set to continue.

Having already snapped up Benfica defender Victor Lindelof and lined up moves for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, the Red Devils are in no mood to pay over the odds for Perisic.

Inter paid Wolfsburg €16m for Perisic two years ago, with the 57-cap Croatia international having previously played for Club Brugge and Borussia Dortmund. His current deal with the Milanese outfit runs until 2020.

Fabio Borini completes shock AC Milan move

    borini-cropped_wyygafxit9zx1ek0ktv6t7cz0.jpg

Fabio Borini has completed his move to AC Milan from Sunderland on loan with an obligation to purchase. The forward's switch to San Siro was confirmed Friday as he signed the contract in a Facebook live video.

Borini, who will reportedly cost €6million when Milan make the move permanent, is the club's fifth signing ahead of the 2017-18 season, following the arrivals of Andre Silva, Ricardo Rodriguez, Mateo Musacchio and Franck Kessie.

The 26-year-old's switch to the Serie A heavyweights comes as a surprise after he only scored twice in 24 Premier League appearances as Sunderland finished bottom last season and suffered relegation to the Championship.
Borini joined Sunderland from Liverpool in 2015, having previously spent a spell on loan at the Stadium of Light in 2013-14. He has also represented Chelsea, Swansea City, Parma and Roma.

He has one Italy cap, which he received in 2012.Milan are also closing in on the signing of Atalanta defender Andrea Conti and have been strongly linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu.

Arsenal in advanced talks for €55m-rated Lyon striker Lacazette

    alexandre-lacazette-lyon-ajax-uefa-europa-league-11052017_t3047givdyp317zw19sldndjm.jpg

Arsenal are in advanced talks for €55 million-rated Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, Goal understands, although no fee has yet been agreed.

With hopes of signing Monaco's Kylian Mbappe - a Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain target - fading, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes to convince another of Ligue 1's star forwards to play at the Emirates Stadium.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed talks have been held for Lacazette at a media conference introducing the signing of Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid, but said no deal has been reached.

"There are exchanges and it's true that Arsenal are pressing," Aulas told RMC. "But the moment has not come. I am not ready to give an agreement in the current conditions to Arsenal."

The Gunners are €4m away from Lyon's valuation of Lacazette, 26, and negotiations look set to continue over the coming days as Arsenal hope to seal the deal for the France international.

It is believed Lacazette wants to leave Lyon and was set on a move to Atletico Madrid until the Spanish club’s transfer ban was upheld, preventing a move until January at the earliest.

Any move could end up costing the Gunners €55m (£48m/$63m) plus add-ons. There have been rumours of a swap deal involving Olivier Giroud but Aulas suggested it had not been discussed.Instead, Diaz, who signed Friday after a reported €8m move, is expected to be Lacazette’s replacement.

The Gunners hope to keep Giroud, although they are prepared to let Lucas Perez - who joined last August but scored only once in 11 Premier League matches - leave the north London club this summer.

Arsenal remain hopeful of a deal for Thomas Lemar as well, but the youngster does not appear ready to force a deal to the Gunners.

Buffon tells Milan's Donnarumma to do what makes him happy

    gianluigi-donnarumma-italy-u21_2u9itytfmcqlz6p9ail0s9ip.jpg

Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon said he has spoken to Gianluigi Donnarumma and told the wantaway AC Milan goalkeeper to do what makes him happy.

Donnarumma announced his intention not to sign a renewal at Milan, with his contract due to expire in 2018, though the 18-year-old is due to meet the Serie A club to hold discussions on his future.

A string of social media messages, prompting Donnarumma – seen as the heir apparent to Buffon in the Italy team – to delete his Instagram account, and comments from agent Mino Raiola has added fuel to the ongoing saga in Milan.

Buffon, who previously talked up Juventus' move for Donnarumma, had some words for the reported Real Madrid and Manchester United target.

"I don't give advice, because I always made my own mistakes and would only beadding further chaos to the situation," Buffon said via Sky Sport Italia .
"I did have a bit of a 15-minute chat with Gigio, though. I can't tell you what we said."I have no idea if he'll remain at Milan, but I merely tell him to do what makes him happy."

Donnarumma, who made his debut as a 16-year-old, has become Milan's undisputed number one, playing in all 38 Serie A matches last season.

PSG in talks regarding summer deal for Man Utd target James

    james-rodriguez-real-madrid-granada_yhv5uond141v1nlj82eawfqdf.jpg

Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks regarding a possible deal for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, Goal understands. The Ligue 1 outfit have been busy piecing together their summer transfer plans since the arrival of Antero Henrique as the club’s new sporting director.

The Portuguese, who has succeed Olivier Letang at Parc des Princes, is seeking to address a number of areas in Unai Emery’s side after seeing PSG surrender their title to Monaco in 2017-18.

Several high-profile additions have been mooted, with Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kylian Mbappe among those to have registered on the radar.

James has now been added to that list thanks to his ties to so-called ‘super agent’ Jorge Mendes, who has had close ties with Henrique since his time at Porto.
Mendes has been pushing his clients towards Paris, with Pepe another of those who could be heading to France from Real Madrid.

PSG have bided their time while considering James before opening negotiations, with the Colombia international under contract in Spain until 2020.He has been heavily linked with Premier League heavyweights Manchester United over recent weeks, but the Red Devils are believed to have cooled their interest.

That has left the door open for PSG to discuss a potential €60 million deal.
Mendes is also looking to nudge another player to have dropped out of United’s thoughts towards the French capital, in Monaco’s versatile Fabinho.

No offer has been made as yet to the Ligue 1 champions, and Atletico Madrid could provide competition for the Brazilian despite currently operating under the restrictions of a transfer embargo.

PSG move ahead of Man Utd in Fabinho pursuit

    fabinho_1clv948to97u31sd7787azui39.jpg

Paris Saint-Germain have moved in front of Manchester United in the race for Monaco’s Fabinho, with one offer knocked back.Goal revealed earlier on Saturday that the Ligue 1 giants are busy piecing together their plans for the summer transfer window.

They have joined United in the hunt for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, but he is not the only one at the centre of a recruitment tug of war.

PSG have already tabled a €45 million bid for Fabinho, as they seek to raid the ranks of the side who wrestled the French title away from them in 2016-17.
Monaco have rebuffed that approach and are understood to be reluctant to do business with a domestic rival.

Fabinho, however, is believed to be keen on making a move to the capital giants. The 23-year-old is understood to have already agreed a contract with PSG and is now waiting on Monaco to reach a compromise.

Those talks will leave United frustrated, as the Premier League side seek to bolster their own ranks.Jose Mourinho was said to view Fabinho as a top target as he can operate in both a holding midfield role and at right-back.

PSG, though, are busy rebuilding themselves and have edged to the front of the queue for a much sought-after talent.
