Napoli 0 Inter 0: Handanovic heroics put an end to Partenopei's winning streak

    wire-1575628-1508622511-248_634x356.jpg

Inter put an end to Napoli's 100 per cent record in Serie A this season as Italy's top two fought out a fascinating but ultimately frustrating 0-0 draw at Stadio San Paolo on Saturday.

Looking to get back to winning ways following Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League loss to Manchester City, league leaders Napoli were denied a ninth straight league victory by the brilliance of visiting goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

The Slovenian produced a sparkling double save in the first half of a tense battle and denied Dries Mertens in injury time as the hosts failed to find the net for the first time since a 2-0 loss to Atalanta in February. While Napoli failed to make it nine wins on the spin, the result at least maintains their two-point lead over nearest rivals Inter at the summit.

However, the draw also allows reigning champions Juventus - who travel to Udinese on Sunday - the chance to close the gap on the top two in what is shaping up to be an enthralling early title race.

Having sat out the midweek loss in Europe, midfield duo Jorginho and Allan both returned to Napoli's starting XI. There was also the unexpected inclusion of Lorenzo Insigne, who had hobbled off in the second half at the Etihad Stadium with a right adductor strain.

Inter, meanwhile, had enjoyed a satisfying break after their exertions in the Derby della Madonnina last Sunday, allowing Luciano Spalletti to pick an unchanged side. The visitors were indebted to Handanovic for coming through a lively first half unscathed, as the goalkeeper denied Napoli twice in quick succession in the 20th minute.

Having initially dived low to his left to keep out a first-time drive from Jose Callejon, Handanovic reacted quickly while still grounded to flip his body to the right and block Mertens' attempt to convert the rebound.

Mauro Icardi and Borja Valero did force Pepe Reina into action as Inter grew as an attacking threat, yet they were fortunate Insigne failed to convert a free header from Marek Hamsik's lofted pass to the back post.A break from deep by Matias Vecino breached Napoli's high defensive line early in the second half but although he rounded Reina, his chip from a tight angle was drifting wide before the retreating Elseid Hysaj headed clear.

Captain Hamsik failed to take an opportunity to draw level with Diego Maradona on 115 goals for Napoli from Callejon's clever knockdown, dragging his attempt wide to the left from the edge of the area. But, as has become common in games this season, the hosts faded as an attacking force once the influential Hamsik - a driving force in their engine room - was withdrawn in the 71st minute.

After replacement Piotr Zielinski tested his reactions with a stinging volley from distance, Handanovic denied Mertens again with a point-blank save as the game slipped into stoppage time.

While still without a win at the ground since 1997, Inter at least held firm to pick up a point and deny Maurizio Sarri's usually free-scoring side from stretching their lead in the standings.

Barcelona 2 Malaga 0: Controversial win sees hosts extend LaLiga lead

    458DB9B800000578-5004249-image-a-136_1508612401051.jpg

Gerard Deulofeu scored a controversial first Barcelona goal as his side extended their lead at the top of LaLiga with a workmanlike 2-0 victory over Malaga.

Winger Deulofeu ended a 16-game wait to open his account in Barca colours by striking after only 113 seconds to conclude a move that had seen Lucas Digne carry the ball out of play before setting him up.Andres Iniesta netted his first goal for club and country in over a year after the break to end any hopes of a Malaga comeback.

Barca were far from their free-flowing best against a Malaga side they failed to beat either home or away last season, the only LaLiga team they did not get the better of.

However, the victory saw Ernesto Valverde's men restore a four-point lead over closest challengers Valencia, who thumped Sevilla 4-0 earlier on Saturday, at the top of the table.Rivals Real Madrid sit eight points adrift in third and are at home to Eibar in their game in hand on Sunday.

Malaga fumed at Barca's opener, which saw Digne's initial attempted cross deflect back to him off away captain Roberto Rosales before the France international clearly touched the ball beyond the byline and crossed for Deulofeu to flick in a clever volley from inside the six-yard box.

Lionel Messi wasted an excellent free-kick opportunity from 20 yards out, firing against the wall, while Gonzalo Castro headed wide from a good opening at the other end, having been set up by Juankar on the counter-attack.

There were few other clear opportunities at either end until Castro completely miskicked a volley from eight yards as Malaga, who lost Diego Rolan to a hamstring injury, went into the break one down.Messi tested Andres Prieto for the first time early in the second half, forcing the away goalkeeper to get down sharply after creating a yard of space for himself.

Barca found their second goal in the 56th minute. Javier Mascherano and Messi were involved in the build-up before Iniesta took one touch and saw his left-footed shot deflect off Rosales and loop into the top-right corner from 12 yards.

Luis Suarez struck the side netting after producing a sharp turn and strike following Ivan Rakitic's pass, while Keko claimed for handball at the other end after his initial shot struck Digne and his follow up went straight to Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Suarez then missed a glorious opportunity to net in back-to-back league games, failing to find the target after Sergi Roberto embarked on a rampaging run before laying the chance on a plate for his team-mate.

Malaga came close to getting one back when Luis Hernandez sent a good header wide, while Messi had the ball in the net just before full-time. However, an offside flag as the Argentina forward headed Samuel Umtiti's flick-on home meant he ended the match with just an assist to his name.

Barca continue to set the pace in the title race as Michel's side remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just one point from nine games.

Hamburg 0 Bayern Munich 1: Tolisso sends Heynckes' men joint-top

    wire-1575144-1508615013-578_634x356.jpg

Bayern Munich capitalised on a slip-up from Borussia Dortmund to go level at the top of the Bundesliga with a 1-0 victory over 10-man Hamburg at Volksparkstadion.Corentin Tolisso's second goal of the season was enough to earn Bayern a third successive triumph under Jupp Heynckes and leave the hosts winless in seven.

The Bavarian giants stay second in the table, but they now only trail Dortmund on goal difference after Peter Bosz's side let a two-goal lead slip to draw away at Eintracht Frankfurt earlier on Saturday.

Bayern beat Freiburg 5-0 and Celtic 3-0 in their previous two outings but came up against a Hamburg side that proved tough to break down until Gideon Jung was sent off for a lunge on Kingsley Coman six minutes before half-time.Tolisso struck seven minutes into the second half and the champions shut the door on Hamburg, with only the upright denying the French midfielder a second as Heynckes' 100 per cent record remains in tact.

Bayern bossed the early stages of the game but failed to threaten Hamburg's goal until Arjen Robben cut inside from the right and had a curling shot blocked on its way towards the bottom-left corner after 13 minutes. Coman's neat turn and chipped pass into the box gave Robben another sight of goal seven minutes later, but the Dutchman's left-footed shot hit the side-netting.

While Bayern were untroubled at the back in the first half, they struggled to break down a packed Hamburg defence and failed to register a shot on target before the interval. However, their chances were boosted when Hamburg midfielder Jung needlessly brought down Coman by the halfway line and was shown a straight red card.

Arturo Vidal might have put Bayern ahead two minutes after the restart had his 20-yard shot not deflected wide off the leg of Kyriakos Papadopoulos, and the visitors – who sent Thomas Muller on for James Rodriguez at half-time – continued to press for a breakthrough.

The moment arrived when an innocuous-looking cross from Coman evaded a row of Hamburg defenders before Rick van Drongelen fluffed his lines and Muller touched the ball on to Tolisso, who side-footed home.

Andre Hahn fired a loose ball towards the top-right corner as Hamburg sought a rapid equaliser but his shot was tipped over by Sven Ulreich at full stretch.Thiago Alcantara crashed a curling shot onto the post after a Robben corner in the 70th minute and Mats Hummels narrowly headed off target as the tension rose.

Hamburg poured forward in the closing stages in the hope of restoring parity but Bayern's numerical advantage ensured there was no way through for Markus Gisdol's men.

It would have ended 2-0 had Christian Mathenia not made an excellent save at Robben's feet, while the post denied Tolisso a second with a header from a corner.
As full-time edged closer Robben met Coman's cross with a sublime volley that fizzed past the upright, but Bayern were not to be denied an important victory.

:(Huddersfield Town 2 Manchester United 1: Mourinho's men suffer first defeat as Lindelof error proves costly

    458B3EA700000578-5003761-image-a-62_1508596970420.jpg

Manchester United's unbeaten start to the Premier League season came to an end in a shock 2-1 loss at Huddersfield Town on Saturday, with Victor Lindelof the villain of the piece.

Former Benfica defender Lindelof was brought on as a replacement for the injured Phil Jones in the 25th minute and the hosts scored both of their goals shortly after his introduction, with United unable to claw things back despite Marcus Rashford's late goal.

Jose Mourinho's side appeared to be in control until Jones' withdrawal, but suddenly the home side turned the tables, scoring two within eight minutes of Lindelof's entrance.Aaron Mooy netted the opener, before Laurent Depoitre added the second as he punished an awful error from United's Sweden international international centre-back.

United's response was by no means emphatic, with Mourinho's men remaining devoid of craft in the final third, leaving Romelu Lukaku lacking service for most of the match.

Rashford – a half-time substitute for Anthony Martial – pulled one back for United with 12 minutes to go, but Huddersfield managed to hold on to a slender win to seal a famous day for the Terriers, who claimed their first top-flight triumph since August. With rivals Manchester City defeating Burnley, United now trail the leaders by five points.

Proceedings were feisty early on as the two clubs clashed for the first time since 1972, with three players receiving yellow cards inside the first nine minutes and both sides going close to a goal. The first chance fell to Lukaku, as the Belgian smashed the ball at Jonas Lossl from the edge of the box, before Depoitre failed to connect with Mooy's teasing free-kick delivery in the 16th minute.

Jones' forced substitution through injury proved a blow, with Lindelof replacing him in what was ultimately a vital moment in the match, as Huddersfield took the lead three minutes later.

Mooy was too powerful for Juan Mata in midfield and charged forward, setting Thomas Ince up for a shot which David de Gea parried away, only for the Australian to smash home the rebound.

And the Terriers got a second shortly after – Depoitre coolly skipping past De Gea and finishing into an empty net after Lindelof inexplicably left Lossl's long kick.Mourinho responded to United's woeful first half by hauling off Mata and Martial in favour of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Rashford at the break.

Neither had a huge impact initially, but Rashford did at least lay on United's next half chance just after the hour mark, as Ander Herrera directed his left-wing free kick wide of the target.United certainly enjoyed the greater share of possession in the second period, but chances were difficult to come by.

Lossl was eventually forced into action again 14 minutes from the end, making a big save to push away a Herrera header.United set up a nervy finish after Rashford latched on to Lukaku's right-wing cross and sent an unstoppable header beyond Lossl.

But it proved to be too little, too late, as Huddersfield dug deep to wrap up all three points and inflict a first Premier League defeat on United since May.

Manchester City 3 Burnley 0: Aguero levels record as Guardiola's men stretch lead

    458B429100000578-5003787-image-a-17_1508597096879.jpg

Sergio Aguero became the joint-highest scorer in Manchester City history as Pep Guardiola's side stretched their advantage at the top of the Premier League to five points with a 3-0 win over Burnley.

Guardiola's men failed to scale the dazzling heights of recent performances, with a tenacious and disciplined Burnley display causing them moments of discomfort before quickfire goals from Nicolas Otamendi and Leroy Sane made victory safe inside the final 20 minutes.

The undefeated league leaders move on to eight wins from nine and Manchester United's surprise 2-1 reverse at Huddersfield Town means an increase in their early control of the title race.

Aguero opened the scoring with a 30th-minute penalty after Bernardo Silva went down under a challenge from Nick Pope, the Burnley goalkeeper who then produced a pair of brilliant saves to prevent the Argentina striker from surpassing Eric Brook's all-time City record of 177 goals.

Guardiola's free-scoring side struggled for clear openings early on and might have gone behind in the 15th minute when Chris Wood capitalised on slack defending by Kyle Walker, but City goalkeeper Ederson was alert to the danger.

Wood's impressive start to the game was cut short by an injury sustained in that challenge and Ashley Barnes replaced the New Zealand international.David Silva finally got City round the back of their opponents in the 23rd minute but Bernardo Silva shot too close to Pope from Sane's cutback.

An even more impressive David Silva pass put Kevin De Bruyne one-on-one with Pope five minutes later and the goalkeeper saved before making an ill-judged dart from his line to deny Bernardo Silva on the rebound.

Whether there was enough contact to send the Portugal international sprawling in such a fashion was debatable but it convinced referee Roger East and, after a brief melee involving players from both sides, Aguero did the rest.

Some ponderous possession near their own goal from City almost coughed up a Burnley equaliser, with Scott Arfield's resulting shot deflected behind, while Pope twice denied Aguero brilliantly with his feet as City's striker sensed history on the stroke of half-time.

Burnley had a penalty shout turned down six minutes into the second half when Fabian Delph hit a clearance against his own arm. Jack Cork was booked for his protests before City defended subsequent set-pieces unconvincingly.

David Silva skewed a drive wide when Sane and Aguero appeared better placed and a pair of menacing De Bruyne crosses as City reasserted themselves after the hour were the sum of Burnley's concerns until they were punished once more by an Argentina international. With Aguero's threat subsiding before his eventual substitution, centre-back Otamendi rose to power in Sane's left-wing corner in the 73rd minute, with Steven Defour's efforts on the goalline leaving something to be desired.

De Bruyne had experienced a relatively quiet outing but added to his majestic catalogue of assists with a wonderful sweeping pass into Sane's path and the Germany winger chalked up his seventh of the season with an unerring finish.

Aguero's replacement Gabriel Jesus similarly found Pope in his way as he looked to add gloss to the scoreline – a margin of victory that would have been unjust on Sean Dyche's side as their undefeated away run came to an end.

Eintracht Frankfurt 2 Borussia Dortmund 2: Bosz's men stunned by comeback

    458B0B1B00000578-5004049-image-a-106_1508604395409.jpg

Borussia Dortmund threw away a two-goal lead as a difficult week for the Bundesliga leaders culminated in a dramatic 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.Peter Bosz's injury-hit side suffered a first defeat of their campaign against RB Leipzig in their most recent league outing, before drawing 1-1 with Champions League minnows APOEL last time out.

But goals from Nuri Sahin and Maximilian Philipp on Saturday looked set to assuage Dortmund's woes, only for Frankfurt to rally and forge a remarkable comeback, leaving the visitors just one point clear of Leipzig and three ahead of Bayern Munich, who play later in the day.

Bosz's insistence on playing a high-line backfired when goalkeeper Roman Burki – who signed a new contract at Dortmund on Friday despite making a costly error against APOEL – conceded a penalty just after the hour, Sebastien Haller converting from 12 yards.

And the comeback was complete in the 68th minute, Marius Wolf on hand to lash home his first Bundesliga goal moments after Lukas Hradecky had denied Christian Pulisic at the other end.

Both sides could have snatched all three points in the closing stages, with Burki and then Makoto Hasebe pulling off heroic blocks, as an enthralling encounter ended all square.

Frankfurt had the ball in the net 17 minutes in, only for the offside flag to cancel out Ante Rebic's effort, but it was the visitors who had the lead a minute later.Marc Bartra, deployed at right-back due to Dortmund's defensive injury crisis, thumped in a low cross-cum-shot, with Sahin reacting sharply to prod home from 10 yards out.

Neven Subotic was caught out by Wolf as Frankfurt responded well, but Burki was out swiftly to block the forward's chip, while Haller sliced wide.Frankfurt were exposing Dortmund's ramshackle defence, but the hosts then suffered a blow – Timothy Chandler making way after picking up a serious-looking knee injury.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had the chance to double Dortmund's lead with half-time approaching, the Gabon striker driving wide after controlling Pulisic's knockdown.

The Dortmund talisman was at it again after the restart, skewing over from close range before drawing a fine save out of Hradecky, but Frankfurt's goalkeeper was beaten soon after.Philipp drove forward at pace, squaring up his marker before planting a firm finish into the bottom-left corner.

Aubameyang did find the target on the hour after Philipp turned provider, but his celebrations at matching were cut short by the linesman's flag.Frankfurt finally made Dortmund pay for their sloppiness after 64 minutes – the referee pointing straight to the spot after Burki had barged clumsily into Rebic and Haller stepped up to slam home from the spot.

Dortmund were shaken up and after Hradecky had pulled off a top-class save from Pulisic's strike, Frankfurt took full advantage as Wolf stole in to drive a low effort past Burki.

Bosz's side had Burki to thank with 10 minutes remaining as he atoned for his earlier error with a fine stop from Haller before, in stoppage time, Hasebe got across to clear Sahin’s volley off the line as Dortmund’s lead at the top was cut to one point.

Monaco 2 Caen 0: Keita opens account as hosts get back on track

    458B9CCF00000578-5004801-image-a-97_1508628968932.jpg

Keita Balde scored his first Monaco goal as the Ligue 1 champions got back on track with an easy 2-0 home win over Caen.Monaco had failed to win in four matches coming into the game, jeopardising their hopes in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, but returned to form with a comfortable triumph on Saturday.

The win, which was sealed by in-form Radamel Falcao's penalty, puts the hosts back to within three points of league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, who face an away clash against rivals Marseille on Sunday in their game in hand.

Monaco moved in front after 21 minutes, when an impressive throughball from Thomas Lemar released Keita and he raced into the area to send a calm right-footed finish into the bottom corner from 15 yards, his first strike since signing from Lazio in July.

Lemar and Rony Lopes failed to covert further good opportunities, while Jemerson headed against the bar as Monaco were forced to settled for a one-goal lead at the break after dominating the opening period.

But Leonardo Jardim's men did double their advantage just before the hour mark, with a penalty awarded when Jan Repas fouled Lopes right on the edge of the area, an infringement referee Thomas Leonard adjudged had taken place inside the box. Falcao then stepped up to send Caen goalkeeper Remy Vercoutre the wrong way, already the Colombia international's 13th league goal of the season.

Caen finally threatened when Monaco shot stopper Danijel Subasic pushed Christian Kouakou's effort onto the bar, but the boom-or-bust visitors – who have now won five and lost five from 10 top-flight games this season – never looked likely to launch a comeback and stay ninth in the table.

Chelsea 4 Watford 2: Batshuayi, Azpilicueta spare champions' blushes

    458A588F00000578-5003497-image-a-128_1508588789172.jpg

Cesar Azpilicueta and Michy Batshuayi proved Chelsea's heroes as they battled to a thrilling 4-2 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.Batshuayi came off the bench to make it 2-2, with Watford having led for much of the second half through Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Pereyra, before Azpilicueta and the Belgium international secured the win in the dying minutes.

The result came on the back of consecutive defeats for the Premier League champions and the pressure on boss Conte is likely to ease somewhat, with the Blues registering only their second win in five league games.Chelsea started the match in stunning style as Pedro's wonderstrike, the 8000th goal scored in the club's 112-year history, put them ahead in the 12th minute.

Watford, who had claimed 10 points out of 12 on the road under Marco Silva before Saturday's meeting, responded before the break through Doucoure's strike and Pereyra put them ahead just after half-time.

Conte's decision to take off Alvaro Morata for Batshuayi was greeted with boos by some Chelsea fans but the striker responded to his doubters with an excellent header from Pedro's cross to level the scores.Azpilicueta then popped up to convert the third before Batshuayi added a fourth in injury time, giving Conte a much-needed boost and lifting his side above Watford into fourth in the table.

A confident-looking Watford were the better side in the early exchanges but fell behind to Pedro's moment of magic. The Spain winger collected Eden Hazard's pass from a short corner and let fly with a first-time strike that curled beyond the motionless Heurelho Gomes and in off the left-hand post.

Watford felt aggrieved that the initial corner was given, with Hazard having run the ball out of play himself on the byline, but their frustrations would have been greater had Gomes not stood up well to stop Cesc Fabregas chipping home a second goal from close range.Thibaut Courtois made a good save to keep out a Tom Cleverley free-kick but Chelsea's lead was a comfortable one for much of the first half, as Watford struggled to turn good possession into chances.

That was until the last seconds before the interval, when David Luiz cleared a long throw-in only as far as Doucoure, who smashed a fine outside-of-the-boot shot through the crowded penalty area and past Courtois at his near post.

Richarlison somehow failed to turn the ball into an empty net from just a few yards out, but the Brazilian made amends moments later to help Watford to a superb start to the second half.

Tiemoue Bakayoko lost possession in midfield and, when the ball was worked to Richarlison, he played a precise pass across the box to the unguarded Pereyra, who finished past Courtois in style.Richarlison again fluffed his lines with a free header six yards out and it was a miss that ultimately proved costly, as Batshuayi shrugged off his marker to steer a pinpoint header past Gomes following Pedro's wicked cross from the right.

The Belgian fired narrowly wide as Chelsea pushed for a winner, but it was Azpilicueta who restored the hosts' lead, heading substitute Willian's deep cross past Gomes to send Stamford Bridge – and Conte – into raptures.

There was still time for Batshuayi to add gloss as he capitalised on a Miguel Britos error before lifting the ball over Gomes, ensuring a harsh-looking scoreline for the visitors

:(A bad team deserves punishment – Mourinho blasts Manchester United display

Jose Mourinho slammed the performance of Manchester United in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town, surmising that "a bad team deserves to be punished".

United appeared to be in control until the 25th minute when Phil Jones was forced off with an injury, and Victor Lindelof replaced him in what proved to be a crucial moment in the match.

Aaron Mooy put the Terriers ahead three minutes later and Laurent Depoitre made it 2-0 shortly after that, punishing a woeful Lindelof error, as the Swede let Jonas Lossl's long ball go over him.

Marcus Rashford pulled one back 12 minutes from the end, but it was not enough to save United, who Mourinho does not believe would have deserved a point even if they had salvaged something at the end.

"I was not expecting that [poor first half]," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "The team that started with intensity, the team playing the game of their lives, won."Maybe in [the] second half we had more control, playing against a team and incredible wind. If we wanted a bit more then maybe we get a draw, but we deserve the defeat."We deserved it - the team that wanted it more, wanted to compete, to be more aggressive, won. When the best team wins, there is nothing to say.

"I am disappointed, but the reality is they were stronger than us. I prefer to be in peace with football and to be in peace is when the best team wins."It would be unfair if I point at the players involved in individual mistakes. I would if it was in the context of a great team, but it was in the context of what we were like in the first half.

"A bad team deserves a bad result."

:(Herrera questions Man Utd 'passion' in defeat to Huddersfield

Ander Herrera questioned Manchester United's mentality after concluding they lacked passion in Saturday's shock 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Despite initially appearing to be in control, United fell behind in the 28th minute as Aaron Mooy broke the deadlock shortly after Phil Jones' forced withdrawal with an injury.

His replacement Victor Lindelof was then guilty of a massive error for the second goal, letting Jonas Lossl's long ball go over his head and Laurent Depoitre duly punished him.And Herrera was left criticising United's "passion", adamant that Huddersfield showed more desire.

"It's a very tough day, because we had a big chance to keep winning games and we didn't do it," Herrera told MUTV. "They were more aggressive in the first half, played with more passion than us in the first 30, 35 minutes.

"After that we came back into the game better, but when you're losing 2-0 against such a passionate team, it is not easy to equal the game.

"Everyone has to analyse for himself what happened in the first half. When you play against a team that normally you are better than, you have to match their aggression and passion.

"We didn't do that. It cannot happen again."Herrera's comments mirror those of his manager Jose Mourinho, who pointed out that Huddersfield had "the game of their lives" on Saturday.

Conte: I'll never fear the sack at Chelsea

Antonio Conte says he will never fear the sack from Chelsea, after the Premier League champions rode out a stormy clash with Watford to win 4-2 on Saturday.

Pedro's stunning early goal was soon forgotten as Abdoulaye Doucoure smashed in an equaliser and Roberto Pereyra netted either side of two astonishing Richarlison misses that ought to have put Marco Silva's side in the clear.

And the Blues made the most of the let-off as Michy Batshuayi bagged a brace and Cesar Azpilicueta scored to take Chelsea above their visitors and into the top four.

Coming into the game on the back of bruising defeats to Manchester City and Crystal Palace, and given the volatility of the Stamford Bridge hot seat, some had questioned Conte's long-term prospects, but the Italian says he is not feeling the heat from owner Roman Abramovich.

"I must be honest. I feel a lot of pressure but not this type of pressure if the club decide to sack me," Conte told a news conference after Saturday's win.
"Honestly I don't feel this pressure. I trust in my work.

"I try to keep everything for the club that I'm working for. I'm doing this for Chelsea. I did this last season. I'm doing this with my staff this season."Honestly, I will never be worried for this. Never.

"The pressure is I want for my players and to give satisfaction for my fans. I feel this type of pressure. "Our fans, they show me and my players every game a lot of patience. They show they want to push us in every game.

"I feel this type of pressure, other pressure is not important for me. I don't feel because this is our job."When I go to my house I am happy because I know I am putting 150 per cent for my club and my players are doing the same."

The Hornets beat Arsenal 2-1 last weekend, but were denied another high-profile scalp.Silva refused to lay the blame at Richarlison's feet, despite the Brazilian prodigy's pair of misses from inside the six-yard box.

"He deserved all the credit for what he did until now," Silva said. "It is fantastic. "I am sure in the next games he will score again. He scored really important goals for us in the past. "It is more important we created the chances. Richarlison was in the right position to score again."

Jose Mourinho confirms Eric Bailly return date

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho expects Eric Bailly to return to action 'next week' as he recovers from an injury he picked on international duty. The 23-year-old got a knock in the Elephants’ stalemate against Mali in their 2018 World Cup qualifying fixture on October 6 which has made him miss two Premier League games and a Uefa Champions League fixture against Benfica.

His boss at Old Trafford looks forward to the defender's return when the Red Devils visit Swansea City for their English League Cup fixture on Tuesday or in their Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

“I have no idea [if Pogba will be back],” Mourinho told Manchester EveningNews.
"I'm not telling you no, then he plays, and then you say I lied. I really don't know."I expect Eric Bailly to be back next week. I cannot tell you about Fellaini or Pogba."

Manchester United suffered their first league defeat of the season in a 2-1 loss to new-comers Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Deulofeu sees nothing wrong with his goal against Malaga

Gerard Deulofeu said he did not see a problem with his opening Barcelona goal, despite replays appearing to show the ball had gone out of play in the build-up against Malaga.La Liga leaders Barca defeated Malaga 2-0 at Camp Nou on Saturday thanks to Deulofeu's controversial strike and Andres Iniesta's first goal in over a year.

Deulofeu ended his 16-match wait to open his account for Ernesto Valverde's men in the second minute following a move which saw team-mate Lucas Digne carry the ball out of play before teeing up the Spaniard.

"I didn't see a problem," Deulofeu told beIN Sports. "I still have not seen a replay of the incident, but for me it was legal."I believe this, hence why I played on."Iniesta ended Malaga's hopes of a comeback before the hour-mark, his left-footed shot deflecting off visiting captain Roberto Rosales and lopping into the top-right corner.

The damage was done after the first goal, however, as Malaga defender Luis Hernandez insisted the ball had gone out of play before Digne set up Deulofeu.

"I can understand that they say it didn't go out but it's absurd, the ball was a half a metre out over the line. Once again, a decision is made that we suffer from," said Hernandez, whose Malaga are bottom of the table with just one point from nine matches."It has to be said that in six of our nine games, the first goal is a refereeing error. We're last, we are not playing well but this is weighing heavy on us," he said after the game.

"The change today was after two minutes, against Valencia, Girona, Eibar. We are a tired of it, we are self-critical and we are not playing well but this is very difficult."
