Bleh, for the Core chipsets, I'd rather go for the X48 when its between the P45 and X48. Anyone who'll be able to afford this mobo, will also be able to afford the best X48 mobo out.

But Foxconn still pwns...MAJORLY. I can see them becoming a major player in the hardware industry in a few years.
Well, they are the biggest motherboard manufacturer, aren't they?

Success ?
Because they are giving great features at low cost.No 1 mother board manufacture for me.

this avenger board is good because it has DDR3 at high speeds.Other than that G33 will suffice most of the time.

Volume.

I wouldn't go with DDR3 if it is not COMPULSORY!!! For no "significant" performance gains, I wouldn't spend more $$$. Same for the mobo. If it supports RAID, and have 6 SATA ports, enough RAM slots, proper overclocking functions, I wouldn't care how many gizmos are there in the mobo!

no significant performance gains for now... with new drivers and other software it'll change.. "gradually" like in AGP vS PCI express in the early stages.

I think so, they manufacture butt loads of stuff for OTHER companies too, so its kinda funny how they're competing with companies whose boards are manufactured by them :P.

Well, if you are buying now, you can't buy something in the future I guess :P

Right now, C2D/C2Q is the bang for the buck. But can't recommend a C2D or C2Q without stating the purpose. Gaming => cheap C2D OCed, everything else => cheap C2Q overclocked. One thing to note is that *cheap* C2D's overclock clock to 3.8GHz easily but *cheap* C2Q's don't overclock past 3.2GHz *easily*.

Yeah but there are quite a few Q6600s around running at 4GHz.

I love the Q6600, hope they sell it long enough in SL for me to pick one up in a while.

The percentage of getting a Q6600 past 3.2GHz (IBT stable) in SL is extremely rare, as for the requirement of a high-end air cooler like the Thermalright Ultra 120, low ambients AND great luck!!!

The overclocking results are CPU limited rather than motherboard limited unlike the low-end 45nm's which have *poor* multipliers around 7 or 8.
