I newly bought a g31mx motherboard. There is problem in booting up the machine. It's takes so long in the booting process in the BIOS. I tried to find the quick boot option in BIOS settings but unfortunatley I can't that option in the BIOS settings. Can anybody tell me to bypass the several checking at booting up process, and make my computer to boot up quickly.

    Regards

I downloaded the manual and checked, but couldn't find a quick boot option. Anyways, even without a quick boot option it shouldn't take more than 5 seconds for a motherboard to go through POST and start loading Windows. What stage is taking the longest time ?

    Try setting the following options:
Standard CMOS features > Halt ON : No errors
Advanced BIOS features > First Boot device : Hard Disk
Advanced BIOS features > Boot up floppy seek: Disable
Advanced BIOS features > Delay for HDD (set to the minimum possible time)

Disable all the unwanted things like if you have a separate vga disable the onboard, disable floppy etc this will speed up alot
