Some tips for avoiding getting infections.
1) If you are going to download a application your best bet would be to download it via the software's homepage to make sure your getting a clean download.
2) ALWAYS scan cracks and patches to make sure they are clean. The majority of viruses and Trojans come from cracks and patches. Personally I can say that I use serials to unlock most of my software so that I know I'm not risking getting infected.
3) If you find a dirty program we as a community would like for you to report it to make this a much safer place for the members!
4) If you visit any site and it asks you to install software or do anything to your computer before you download, ignore that website and find another link. Most of those sites install malware and Trojans on your computer.
