The Fujairah plant will be the largest newly constructed independent water & power project in the UAE. It will produce a 2,000 MW power output and 130 MIGD* (591 million litre) of potable water in the desalination plant. The power station will be built around Alstom’s GT26 gas turbine, and marks the first time that this technology has been sold in the region. Thanks to its GT26-based technology, it will be able to operate over a wide range of power outputs while maintaining full desalination capacity. “Fujairah 2” is among the best performing power plants in the world.
