What is for mihinlanka :
Mihin Lanka is a low-cost airline based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is a fully owned and funded enterprise of the Sri Lankan government. It's main focus is providing low cost flights from Colombo to Dubai and a number of cities in India. Launched in 2007, Mihin Lanka currently uses Bandaranaike International Airport as its hub, but it will most likely move to the Weerawila International Airport, which is currently under construction.

but is mihin lanka really necessary? is it an 'essential need' to have low budget flights?

why not use that money lower some tax on some real 'essential' goods?

you seriously dont think this is a waste of money?

governmet has used money to lower essential goods in lase 50years ( mean government used money to pay for eating food by people here). Whats that invesment ? Nothing at the end. Other than that government have to invest money in some credible projects to earn money. The concept of Mihin air is good. But there should be proper path to progress.. Its better than using money to lower food items which just eating .....

If Mahinda decides to merge Mihin with Sri Lankan Airlines then all will go to crap...The Gov will keep pumping money from Sri Lankan to keep Mihin afloat... It'll be the death of SL Air lines with its reputation....

Mihin is running at a loss... and that resent fiasco on taking flight with some item missing off the engine is just hilarious... putting the passengers at risk..Its run like the Railway system it seems.. but at least now the trains are coming on time... Thanx to Dalla....

Have any here flown in Mihin..heard that the service is extremely bad with unfriendly crew.. any confirmations on this ?
