The Electric Vehicles Club Sri Lanka, widely known as “EV Club” was formed in 2015 to promote the use of environmentally friendly vehicles in the country and empower EV owners and users with the required knowledge to gain confidence and peace of mind, to set a foundation by which goals can be reached and encourage members to become actively involved to help identify and pursue club projects that will encourage the public acceptance of Electric Vehicle for urban use.
The club shares experience and knowledge on electric vehicle use and maintenance, innovative ideas, tweeks and as a resource of current development in the country related to infrastructure required to support and enhance the commuting of Electric Vehicles. During the past decade, environmental impact of the petroleum based transportation infrastructure led to renewed interest in electric transportation infrastructure.
On 7th February, The Club will hold a gala event titled “Drive Green Sri Lanka – Electric Vehicle Symposium” at BMICH – Committee B hall from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, where Tech Talk, Economical Driving Patterns, Use of Solar Energy and Charging Safety including a panel discussion and end with a Q&A Session by prominent personalities.
