It's however possible that the others make the winters worse (since they appear during the longest and coldest), But I think the amount of power it would require to affect the whole world (or at least westeros) is tremendous and supposing that the Other have such power would affect the balance with fire too much. Also, I guess if they had enough reach to make it cold enough to snow in king's landing, they could raise dead beyond the wall.</blockquote>
