Mass Effect 3 Release Date Confirmed

Mass Effect 3 will officially launch March 6, 2012 with Kinect voice support, EA announced at its E3 presser this afternoon.

Microsoft earlier announced Kinect voice functionality, but the demo played at EA’s conference used only an Xbox 360 controller, without any voice- or motion-controls, supporting the claim that Kinect will “augment” Mass Effect 3 rather than run it completely.

The expanded demo (part 1 and part 2) included a widespread war, Shepard behind a turret gun and a slew of imposing Reavers–BioWare is already calling this one the best game in the series.

As with most of its presentations today, EA has more information via its new Origin service.​
