Shift 2 Unleashed Autolog System Gets More Info

As revealed a while back, Shift 2 Unleashed will utilize the Autolog system debuted in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Well, today EA revealed more information on what Shift 2’s version of the system will include over the one offered in the latter.

The system works the same for the most part, offering detailed information on you and your friends’ racing habits and recommendations for besting your buddies. However, this time around, the game will divide data based on a variety of factors, like quick race tracks, race types, automotive disciplines, and also break down race times on sections of tracks. The game’s UI has gotten an upgrade as well, and should be more user friendly than the one featured in Hot Pursuit.

The game offers a loyalty incentive to players of Hot Pursuit as well, giving them two extra cars, the Pagani Cinque Roadster and the Lamborghini Reventon police car. They’ll be able to unlock these new cars when they log into Shift 2 with the EA account they used in Hot Pursuit (after putting in the Online Pass code, of course).

With these new features, Shift 2 Unleashed keeps looking better and better. What do you guys think of EA’s upcoming racer?
