general election within 3 months

The government says it is prepared to take up the challenge by the UNP leader to hold a parliamentary election, without dissolving provincial councils.

Minister Dallas Alahapperuma said they are prepared for polls within three months.
Mr. Alahapperuma, who is also treasurer of the SLFP, speaking at a told the media in Colombo today (Aug 25th), was responding to a remark by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Mr. Wickremesinghe had challenged the government prior to the provincial polls, to hold generation election without dissolving any further provincial council.

It wasnt Ranil hu challenged.It was Tissa Attanayake. Machan oou wage gonek nae.Aaanduwe mona waradi thibbath minissu war eka gana hithala Mahinda ta denne. It showed in the provincial councils as well where the people rejected UPFA`s chief ministerial candidates but cast their vote to mahinda and war.

    mahinda is using the war as a sympathiser of the govt. ppl will always vote for da govt as long as there is a winning war going on. ill bet that if govt wins the war and then after around 3 months they keep an election da UNP is sure to win.
