Google Maps have a worldwide promotion whereby you can get $20 / £20 / €20 off any Uber ride.
Simply plot a route and select the taxi option (little man waving). You’ll receive a pop up of the discount (see image below).


You must have the latest version of the Google Maps app for this work. You will also need the Uber app installed and have an account with them.
Even then, not everybody will receive this promotion. We have tried on 5 different phones, and it only worked on 3.
We’re not sure how Google Maps is deciding who gets the discount. Give it a go and see if you’re one of the lucky ones.
