    Answer : Dear Buddhika kasun,

Thank you for your kindly mail and inquiry. Kindly connect your headphone to front or rear audio output connector and see if it can be detected properly. Or if possible, please try to use other headphone and see how it works.

Meanwhile, kindly remove current audio driver and install the audio driver from our website. You can click here to download drivers for your GIGABYTE product.

If you still have any further question or suggestion about our products/service, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will try our best to help you resolve the problem ASAP.

    Regards,

    Answer : Dear Buddhika kasun,

Thanks for your information. It is possible the headphone you used is been detected as the speaker. Since you mentioned the problem still remained after tried other headphone, if possible, kindly install the audio driver from Driver CD or from Realtek website to see how it works.

About the audio output, this motherboard supports to output one audio device at one time. As to the feature you mentioned (to output different sound tracks through front and rear audio outputs), it is more related to the media player you used.

    GIGABYTE

    Answer : Dear Buddhika kasun,

About the issue you mentioned which is normal that there is only one speaker been detected in sound playback device since all the devices are been recognized as Realtek devices.

Kindly see if you can set "Mute the rear audio device, when a front headphone plugged in" (see the attached photo).

Im Waiting for Driver update, Via audio chip worked great with earlier motherboard , but realtek didn't with this board. in waiting for answer soon , else i ll move to other motherboard with via chipset.

    thank you

    Answer : Dear Buddhika kasun,

We will try to duplicate the issue you mentioned. However, since we do not have the same motherboard GA-G41MT-S2PT(rev. 2.1) as yours, we will use other G41 motherboard which has the same audio chipset as yours and see if we can copy the situation and reflect the data to Realtek.

    Regards,
    GIGABYTE

    2013/9/18 update:
    Dear Buddhika kasun,

Sorry for late update. We used GA-G41M-Combo (rev. 2.0) motherboard to duplicate the case you mentioned which also uses Realtek ALC887 codec as the same as GA-G41MT-S2PT(rev. 2.1). After tested, it is normal that when you played the audio, the sound will come from front audio panel and rear audio panel simultaneously. Since it is related to the driver, we already informed Realtek and let them know this case.

    Test Environment:
    Motherboard: GA-G41M-Combo (rev. 2.0)
    BIOS: FB
    CPU: Celeron Dual-Core E3300
    RAM: Kingston KHX1600C9D3T1K2/8GX x1
    OS: Win 7 64bit
Audio Driver: version 5.10.0.6642 from our website

    Regards,
    GIGABYTE
