A 17- year old school girl was allegedly stabbed to death at Thibbutuwawa in Kekirawa area this morning, police said.
The girl was stabbed by a boy due to a dispute over a love affair. The suspect had taken poison after the incident and was admitted to Kekirawa hospital.
A Twenty- four year old person was shot dead at Katuwila, Ahungalla this morning by an unidentified gunman who had arrived on a motorbike, Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said.
The victim was also traveling on a motorbike when he was shot. He is said to have been released from prison recently.
