There will be demand for cloths as clothing is an essential item but surely not as before.
The real question to me is that Sri Lanka as a manufacturer who has a high cost structure, will we able to attract orders beating other low-cost manufacturers such as Bangladesh?
So far we were differentiating our product based on quality and therefore justifying the high price paid by the consumer. But in years to come, that may be out of the window as there will be less spending for non-essentials all over the world.

Yes, I agree.
But I hope there will be an economic boom after this trouble is over. I would like to compare that to the end of WW2. Every country in the world come out of hibernation and do everything in their power to get back on their feet. Since there are no any winners or losers in this battle, everyone will have to get together and pull ourselves out of this misery.
High end clothes or non essential luxuries may not be in high demand, so all manufacturers must have a plan B, or even C, and focus on to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Its not just Bangladesh, Main issue is Sri lankan factories produced branded apparels like VS, Nike. CK and blah blah. There will be demand for them. People won't spend premium prices for clothing

That is exactly my point products differentiated based on quality (branded) will have low demand.

However we do still produce a significant amount of non premium products mainly the small manufacturers (brands such as Tesco and Decathlon) unfortunately those orders are likely to be diverted to low cost manufactuers due to the overall demand shrinkage

demand for PPE would likely be temporary unless the pandemic lasts for more than one year which if would will bring more severe problems than good globaly.

I think there will be a world recession after Corona crisis. So there won't be a economic boom. Economy will recover eventually but will take at least 1 year. Until that companies will be in low cost mode, no more new hiring etc

We have already inhouse raw materiels for the production and already shipped finished goods. We'll expecting major workforce cutbacks to ensure the survival of the company. We have nearly 2000 employees.
