Most of times I have sent only the covering letter typed in the email body without attaching my CV when Im applying for jobs...that cool attachment checker feature will notify us if we forget to attach the files and attempt to send the mail...You all guys might think how google gets to know that we wanna attach a file..it's a pretty simple but innovative concept...they check our message body for the possible texts with the word attachment, etc..
