Gmail File Space Firefox Extension

nice little program, very useful for online storage. Great idea, to use all that gmail space! Good for personal docs. Looks great

Download Firefox Plugin here
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/gmail_space/gmail_space-0.2-fx.xpi

One great Extension to use awesome Gmail more Extensively

Pros: The Extension is Quite usable for those who Have large files to transfer...I love this ...the transfer speed is awesome..Kudos//Rahul You Simply Rock and Gmail Rocks too...

Cons: The Installation ...Many do not know how to install .xpi files on Mozilla. Provide a better installation package that will be great ... For Ppl who do not know how to install ...Drag the file beside the "LATAEST HEADLINES" Tab on top of Mozilla and then click on it...and then restart the browser it will work fine!!!!

Excellent product; makes use of GMail's 2GB.

Pros: Easy to upload files, quicker and more convenient than sending things to yourself. This actually lets you take up some sort of space in your unnecessary 2 gigabytes. I like it.

Cons: It's not a program, it's an extension. That means that I have to leave firefox open when it's uploading things. But that doesn't matter that much because this is so awesome.

Best utility of its kind

Pros: This is by the best utility to backup files to your gmail account. It is far more reliable than any of the others, which frequently fail or crash during upload. I have had no trouble with this so far, it has worked flawlessly. It is very simple to install and use, the interface is very intuitive. There is two explorer type windows, one is your computer and the other is your gmail account. You simply select the files and folders you want to upload in the left hand window, and click the arrow button to upload it to gmail. Similarly, you select files you want to download in the right hand window, press the arrow, and it's downloaded. Couldn't be easier. A status bar at the bottom of the screen indicated how much space you have left avaliable. Most people would never use almost 3gb of space that gmail gives you for emails. Put all that unused space to good use with this handy little utility.

Cons: One little quirk I have found is that in the progress window at the bottom, the percentage indicator is wrong. It sometimes reads as thousands of percent! But this is easily lived with. The other thing is that as this is a firefox extension, you have to have firefox installed to use it. But this really isn't a con - firefox is much better than internet explorer anyway.
