[FONT=&quot]She finally overtook him at the checkout.[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]She turned to him and said,[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]"I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease;[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]it's just that you look so much like my late son."[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]He answered, "That's okay."[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]"I know it's silly, but if you'd call out "Good bye, Mom"[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]as I leave the store, It would make me feel so happy."[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]She then went through the checkout,[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]And as she was on her way out of the store,[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]The man called out, "Goodbye, Mom."[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]The little old lady waved, and smiled back at him.[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day,[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]he went to pay for his groceries.[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]"That comes to $121.85," said the clerk..[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]"How come so much? I only bought 5 items!"[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]You'd be paying for her things, too."[/FONT]​

[FONT=&quot]Bet you thought this was going to be a tear jerker.[/FONT]​
