Well actually I should point this out, remember this person is an American citizen...so there shouldn't be a problem in speaking english....If you have watched the the whole video you can clearly see the panic and the intense when he talks about Lasantha.

He may be a American citizen. But he born in Sri Lanka and lived in Sri Lanka for majority of his life.

And if you watch this carefully, in one place he says something like"White van lift peoples". So to me it's more like he think in sinhala and translate it to english when he talks which leads to make panic when he speak.

It's true he wrote against government. But the popularity of government didn't affect by those. It was increasing all the way through.
